Browse the middleman forum: http://www.sythe.org/middleman-forums/
Search for a middleman who is trusted in your opinion (I would pick someone with many MM'ing vouches, or high donation rank)
Also, try to always ask for a sythe pm.
If they say no, it's probably a scam. so beware of that.
Try to get someone nice, easy to talk to, and someone willing to help a newcomer.
ALWAYS ASK FOR PM'S BEFORE TRADING.
And even if you are using a middleman, try to take pictures of the chat!
