i think the guy who scammed A friend got banned, his name no longer appears on high scores and his display name did not change

How did A Friend get scammed, if someone doesn't mind filling me in?

 

The guy "Swore on his life" that he would return A Friend's money. A Friend gave him 7m just to make a point that he's a scamming asshole and to see what he would do. He gave some bullshit about how he has to give more money to get his 5m back.

 

Oh, that sounds like the same shit that happened in one of his doubling videos. Lol, what a pleb. He scammed 7m? Lol.

 

I don't understand why people give money to these scumbags. You would think that nobody would...but apparently it's profitable enough that people continue doing it. I hope he got banned before he could clear off his ely and 3rd age. He's probably dancing for money now.

Good on Jagex for ridding the runescape community of scammers. The player base is already pretty small, don't want scammers to scare off what little newer players they get

 

I wonder what the scammers reaction was to getting banned, glad to hear he got banned though.

 

Funny how most scammers don't get banned unless it has something to do with someone popular, just saying.

 

It's definitely an inconvenient truth. Much bigger fish out there than just what popular youtubers/streamers find.

 

Actually gave him 1m to see if he would scam me, no surprise he did. Glad he's banned now.

 

But I still don't understand Jagex system. Some people just write, that they double money, or just ask free money and they get ban / mute in 2 or 3 hours. Now that guy was scamming mills. Trading and chat history is in mods hands, but noone was doing anything, until A Friend shared this video. In my opinion, this system need to be improved a lot, because now for small offenses you'll be banned in one-two days, but if you are scamming almost bills, and stealing people money you can do it months or even years.
