Wow, Gee Sythe, "THANKS SO MUCH" (sarcasm)

This is the time of the month when my account runs out of membership, naturally I go to the Runescape Blackmarket thread to buy a pin, but WAIT WHERE'S the MEMBERSHIP SALES THREAD? I start panicking like crazy for around half an hour until i come to my senses and ask a friend if he's having the same problem. Turns out that the thread was archived, seriously? WTF DUDE? Who cares if the methods for obtaining the pins are illegal? If Sythe was all about legality, this site WOULDN'T EXIST in the first place as it is a cheating website after all. Please review your decision again. I know this must have been a much debated topic among the staff, but i feel like the conclusion was too extreme. Didn't we have a rule where it didn't matter WHERE you obtained pins to sell as long as you weren't exposed of using *******s etc. etc.? Like i said before WTF.

 

Cheating in a video game =/= a legal issue. Buying and selling stolen goods == a legal issue. Stop being such a degenerate and pay the company who provides your main entertainment source for a reasonable monthly fee.

So it creates a legal issue for Sythe? if so how come the pin business that has been growing for many years on this website (regardless of legal issues), is be suddenly crushed. And you tell me, would you rather pay $4.00 or $8.00 for a pin?

Look at Vert's post. Pins are illegal and not allowed on Sythe. Account upgrades are fine.

Basically, you don't trade pins on Sythe. Instead, you offer account upgrade services and negotiate the trade off-site.

He doesn't want illegal activity going on. It's his site and he doesn't want it being shut down for *******s. And it's not JaGeX, it'd be surfpin/telestra.

 

Fair enough. So basically, they're saying you can use this site to advertise, but a blind eye is taken to all transactions done, and no vouches for those transactions are allowed either.

 

You're mistaken. He's changed it from...

"selling pins $3.00 each"

To "Selling one month of membership $3.00"

Then it is your job to deal with the type of membership (Pins usually) OFF the site. So sythe.org is not responsible for the pins etc.

I'd imagine that it'd be more of an issue with telecom companies.
