Why are so many accounts here banned?

I just joined this community, and am reading through a few threads to get a general feel of how everything works here.
Why are almost half the accounts on Sythe banned? Am I missing something?

 

Determinate worked it out a while ago that only about 11% of sythe users are banned.

 

I know it looks like a lot, but honestly it's not that many people. So long as you follow the rules you should be fine, clearly some people either break the rules or don't read them. People get banned all the time, so it's quite normal.

 

A lot of the banned users are newcomers, who don't fully look at the rules more than likely and do something which can cause a ban:'3 just be a fair player and your all good
