As Jagex says they won't email you about your account, only through the in game message center. They send you emails when they are advertising their services and never ask you to enter you password.

I nearly fell for one of these, it said i had received an infraction for RWT and because i use sythe i was like O, the link in the email was like runescape.com/forums.login [so it looked legit and all] click it and it took me too runeCAPE.service.login.forums/[something]/[something] i just had to sing the TROLOLOL song.
