other computer programs or computer data, consume computer resources,

Since a backdoor modifies the machine to accept transmissions from another source, it's both a transmission and modification of the infected system. Also, since it's likely the backdoor is to transmit a keylogger to record passwords, it can also be dealt with as an infection and record.
