    School Systems?

Very nice said. I totally agree with you though in our country school is based on how much teachers like you. If a teacher doesn't seem to like you you can forget about school because his will will be law. If you make a test and have like a high grade and if the teacher just fucking doesn't like you he will be able to throw the test away and just tell that you never made it and therefor you have an F because he will be accusing you of stealing.

Sounds fucked up eh? Teachers get to decide how your future will look?

Well this is just an example of how fucked up everything is. Another thing that sucks in our school systems is the lack of knowledge which is a serious problem. Teachers don't know shit most of our teachers (I go to high school)
Didn't even finish/go to university. So when you a teacher that you disagree with (wrong information; our Economics teacher uses to pretend as she is good in mathematics and tries to write down some formulas which don't have anything to do with any physics/maths laws). What can you do about it? Nothing... Kids smoke weed and nobody does anything about it. Consierges dont watch kids in out breaks so they can go whereever they want to.
    Fuck our system.

My schools got good resources and crap.. top 5 in the state I think... but has BULLSHIT standards.. anything less than 500 out of 10 is considered a failure.
All the teachers fuckin favour everyone
My science teacher is the BIGGEST fucking prick
I got some shit STRAIGHT from wikipedia, handed it in and he said NO ITS WRONG IM A EVIL WENCH SON ON A FUCKIN BITCH YOU WRONG DROP DOWN AND SUCK MY DICK.
Copied someones exam word for word, they got 87%, I got 26.
We chose our future? Pfft. It's how much the teachers like you, that decides your future.

I believe a fatal flaw in the elementary and high school system is marks for participation.

Same with mine, but I'm in the states. Average highschool; lots of sex and drugs and drama and parties and whatnot. Education is fine I suppose, when we actually decide to show up.

    School Systems?

I go to a private school. Main downsides are the 26k tuition,5 or 6 classes in Hebrew and another two that use english too (jewish philosophy and jewish history)a

I wouldn't mind not staying till 5 everyday except friday, paying 6 dollars a lunch, not learning Hebrew etc. But meh..

also, a majority of my teachers like me and I don't mind the system that much, just alot of restrictions like no jeans, long hair, beards etc.

My high school is doing well... I go to a small private school of 100, but the downside is it's Catholic; however, I don't have to deal with the religion... ever... because they're cool like that and focus more on education than psycho-babble.

    School Systems?

I think the school system here in the UK used to be good, but is getting worse.

This is mainly because we used to have public grammar schools all around the country, now they're being phased out.

A grammar school is a school where you have to pass a test to get in. Only the top 10% of children are allowed to attend. Unfortunately the government thinks this is discriminating against stupid people and is trying to get rid of them.

So soon enough the only way to get a good education will be to pay for private school.

I agree in our school, my math class is fucked up. We spend barely any time going over the lesson, the rest of the time is used for going over or doing homework.

    School Systems?

I go to a private school in Melbourne, Australia, so obviously this will be a bit unknown to many of you.

The Australian public school system is typically pretty good, far better than in the US from what I've heard. I went to the local school in primary (elementary) school, and was pretty happy there.

I ended up going to the school I'm at now because it had a very good reputation, and a few of my relatives went there.

As for the school, it's obviously quite expensive, at around $18k a year. My family is by no means rich, so it was a fairly big decision to send me there.

The school is definitely better than the local high school, but I do feel guilty at times for my education when I could be in the public system.

We have a new school, terrible funding, and generally good staff. Education is decent but a lot of people are ignorant and lack common sense. This includes some of the staff, all of the cafeteria staff, and about three fourths of the students.
