School Certificate and HSC results.

Basically, it's the exams Australians do once a year in grades 10 (School certificate) and Grade 12 (Higher School Certificate = HSC).

I got my School certificate results today.

English - 79
Mathematics - 84
Science - 80
Geography - 64 (Barely even bothered with this)
History - 77 (Left like 15 marks worth of questions out)
Computing skills - 79 (Only attempted 80 questions)

 

Does the American ranking system apply in Australia or is it different?

They are pretty good results Marrow, i just don't wanna do my Hsc, as i fear i shall get bad marks.

The School Certificate is a qualification issued by the Board of Studies, New South Wales, typically at the end of Year 10. The successful completion of the School Certificate is a requirement for completion of the Higher School Certificate.

I'm not really sure, compared to my mates results, it's pretty good. In saying that, my mates are probably the ones that lower the state average.

 

Can you compare those marks to GCSE grades, if you understand how they work?

 

I believe it is the same as the CAHSEE here in California.
