Scar?

I believe that the SCAR section within this forum has been literally 'left 4 dead' so to speak.

90% of the posts within this section are out-dated, posts that have been asked to get locked have not been locked.

I believe this section needs a moderator to watch out for such things as:
-Stolen scripts
-Out dated scripts
-Spam
-Unanswered questions
-Problems with SCAR/SRL itself
-and many more things...

Please think about doing something about this Staff of Sythe.
Post AGREED if you agree and DISAGREE (with a reason) if you dont.

I agree the section does need a clean up/mod just don't know who.

 

well I would do it, but obviously I'm not well known enough around here for people to take me seriously. Just coming from SRL it seems so much more shapen up there [within the scripting/SCAR side of things]

 

If this section is becoming so out of date, why not remove it seeing as noone uses it?

 

Yeah..I think RSbot/autofighter/Perfectius/nexus are much more popular. but their are still some people who use scar because it's free and it gets the job done[slow,but still]

 

Sythe I am pretty sure you are right, and at SRL we currently have lost a few members and I feel that the link between here and SRL is fading. I just really want to keep it alive so SRL can stay alive considering it is free and anyone can use it. I'm not saying I'm trying to leech people from this website and move them I just would like to see scripts getting used more often. So they do stay continuously up to date.

Yo123 exactly I don't want SCAR to just disappear due to these highly funded bot's due to costs of using them, and yes the scripts do get updated twice as slowly but there still is the great connection between users of the scripts and the creators. I just don't want to see that go.

Removing both the SCAR and RSBOT forums and replacing them with a macroing forum still seems like a good idea.

 

I agree, then people may post more about nexus/rsbots.net and others if there is just a big forum for it instead of separate ones.

Exactly, there is no reason for the seperation of different sub-forums for different bots. All this does is create no space for widley used bots (nexus, and kbot [when it comes back]), and too much space for bots which are hardly used like scar.

 

This has just become a huge discussion, but yep I agree now. I believe merging the sections will make the forum less cluttered and will hopefully build up scar back into the industry

 

I believe KBot wont come back for quite awhile and it was some-one related to SCAR, or at least that's what jethr0x was saying when I was listening about that KBot site and shit.

But yeah, defiantly make just one section for macro/auto programs in general ;S

 

I actually was writing a script with scar a couple of weeks ago for a flash game.
Its not useless.
You can still make flash game autoers and other things that use basic principles.
I think most people believe it is only used for Runescape when it has many uses.

 

pretty much, I reckon scar is under rated to what its fullest potential is...

KBot was entirely different from scar.

I've done that, too, but there isn't even a place in the scar section for non-rs scripts

 

Yeah pretty much, I just don't find Sythe very SCAR related even though its there it isn't formated right so people understand it correctly. I wish I could go re-arrange it and post up currently working scripts and just explain it out

 

agreed, i bet if i left it on all night with a script id be dead or logged out for 80% of the time, im not even gonna be downloading it, btw its shtty IMO by all the things i've heard of it.
