    Scamming with western union, possible?

    Hi all,

Just wanted to know more about this method of payment. So am I right to say that once i have the MTCN and the sender's name, I will be able to check online that it is being sent to me, and I would not be denied of payment due to chargebacks, etc?

    Thanks

It can be charged back if the sender cancels it before it is picked up.

Just make sure you pick it up first.

But thats hard, so I have to go to my pickup location, get the money before handing the goods over?

Also, there are some type of transfer that can take up to 3 days for the recipient to get it, correct? So those can be cancelled by the sender?

Any WU payment can be cancelled or redirected by the sender before it has been picked up, so I'd advise you to collect the money before you hand over any goods, especially if it's from someone who's not so trusted :)

Also, when you pay someone via WU it's usually instantly available to the receiver, no matter where they are in the world. There may be some delays depending on your situation, but I haven't heard of any.
