    Scamming, to much?

Hi umm I would like to prepose an idea to prevent scamming. First off, Force people to post a real picture of themself. This may seem preposterous but it would work. Secondly, have people connect their facebooks. Then it is easy to see if they are legitimate or are making fake profiles etc. Things like this and more could protect the people of this site, im not saying your doing a good job .. cause you arent but thats only because you cant exactly monitor trades over the site 90% of the users use msn gmail skype etc..

If this post is in any way infracting or in the wrong area please move/remove it.

Reason for posting: lost 170m gold in multiple scams on the site.. and noone is genorous here... people on runescape yes greedy little insideous children are more friendly.

    Scamming, to much?

I'm sorry, but I don't want everyone to know what I do for a living, who I am, where I live, who my family is, who my friends are, etc, etc, etc.

And scams only happen because one person in the trade isn't safe enough to prevent a scam from happening.

How to prevent scams in 5 steps:
    1. Always use a OMM if unsure
    2. Never accept paypal
    3. If the price is too good to be true, don't do it.
    4. Always have them Pm you
    5. Check their vouches for legitimacy

Edit: And do not even tell me "The person who scammed me was trusted" how can they be trusted... if they scammed? Either you didn't make sure they weren't an imposter(Get them to pm you with their msn address in the pm, and check the msn address you're speaking with) or their vouches were faked. (Stolen)
Edit2: And yes, I'm sorry for your loss, and I sure other people are sorry for your loss as well, but it's no-ones fault but yourself.

This would belong in suggestions. To avoid scams, just use a MM or an Omm, if you need help finding a good free MM, let me know, I'll find one for you. This wouldn't work, requires too many personal things. Some people aren't comfortable with strangers knowing their facebooks. No support, sorry. Scams would still happen anyways.

Or just use a MM or OMM. Not many people want to give their real life information, especially on a black market forum like Sythe.

If you want something, anything at all, be it a chicken nugget, a million dollars, or a safety pin. That is called being greedy, want.

I don't understand what you mean by greed. It's a game, some people make money off of it, and some people play it as an addiction.

Yes, people on sythe are greedy. Some aren't though, but that doesn't mean we'll just give you 170m for free...

Its a really bad idea, people can use fake photos and facebooks. Plus anyone that would post their real one isn't going to want to do it.

I'd have to make a Facebook for Sythe, so it'd be completely empty. And I don't want you knowing all my personal stuff either.

Problem with this is your giving your address, phone number, pictures, etc. to the whole world. I honestly wouldn't even want my cousins knowing what I do on sythe, here is what would happen to me, I report a ban evader, the idiot decides to send 10 pizzas to my house, in the end I'm in loss since the idiot knows my personal information. Then adds me on facebook and trolls on that.

Just use a trusted MM or an OMM, pay the extra expense if any if you want a secure trade.

For some people, giving away private and sensitive information just isn't appropriate.
