No. Two wrongs don't make a right, and it is difficult to prove that anyone has been paid back.

Vigilantism is obviously not wanted here.

I personally know the few responsible for the following:

Keylogging my computer

Hacking my MSN over and over again

Hacking my VPS, skype, LoL, email accounts

Ordering pizza to my house

Ordering Chinese food to my house

Ordering a divorce lawyer to my house

Now with all that being said, if I had the chance to scam them would I take it? Probably not.

But they tried to fake proof to get me banned off sythe. Would I pay them back if I was told to? No fucking way.

put it into irl perspective.
theif steals from dozens of people you find out where his house is and he is not home,u decide to go in and take what he took instead of calling the correct authorities. who do you think would be in the wrong in that particular situation? sythe policies are well thought through, if you catch a scammer report them do not become a scammer yourself.

You scamming a scammer makes you a scammer, and that's not morally right. You're doing the same thing back to them, and robbing them of something that's theirs. Karma will do its thing and punish the other person for scamming.

I'd say scamming someone who has scammed you is morally incorrect, however, scamming them for something they scammed FROM you is not morally incorrect. This being that you are simply retrieving property that was originally taken from you.

Given that you would not be in that position had that person not done said scamming, and can therefore justify scamming back your property.

Let's take this a step further and say that killing someone for killing someone you knew/loved is unjust because that person who was killed will not get their life back simply because you killed the perpetrator.

In the event that you are scammed, and do decide to scam back what was taken, as long as no additional items are taken in the sense of 'retribution', then there is nothing morally invalid about what you have done.

At least, that's my opinion.

Exactly my thoughts. Thanks for typing it up for me. ^__^

If someone scammed someone else, then completely different person scammed him back because of that I would seem to think that is wrong. The other person isn't getting anything back unless he of course gives it him. If someone scammed someone on sythe because they scammed them I wouldn't see the wrong in that if the same amount or less is taken. However counter scamming can't be allowed if I'm honest as they are multiple and obvious reasons such as people using it as an excuse and their needs to be evidence that he was scammed in the first place etc.

Well take this as an example. You were scammed $100 and then banned by mistake, then your friend has a chance to scam the scammer $100, would you let your friend scam him and give you your money back? Or will you think it's still morally wrong and 2 wrongs don't make a right.

Let him steal it back because it's rightfully my property.

I'm sorry but that bit made me laugh.

To me I think it is totally justified, for people saying things like two wrongs don't make a right. Well if someone hadn't done something wrong in the first place there would be no need.

In my opinion you are basically teaching them a lesson, do to others as you wish done to yourself.

In real life when you contact the authorities, you either get your stuff back or you charge the theif and what not. This is not the case on sythe. Here you report them, and get nothing back (unless they decide to pay you back but that usually is not the case).

If you get scammed, I see nothing wrong with trying to take back what is rightfully yours. Doing so does not in any way, put you on the same level as them.

Stealing from a thief is redundant. However, if you scam a scammer, its still scamming. So therefore I don't agree with it.

The thread you linked kinda shocked me...
I don't see any reason why he'd have to refund to a known scammer.
He scammed and vaded before the trade has happened, therefore the trade is virtually inexistent (for me) since he shouldn't be here.
Therefore: scammer?vader? banhammer and nothing else
instead of: scammer?vader? got scammed too? we'll get u a refund and ban u after.

Maybe in this case. Although I don't want to get into a morality battle. The question is it may not be right. But how many of you that have posted its wrong here would actually do it or not?
