Pretty much scammed me 130$
I had my friend send him money on my behalf, but sadly he claimed that 'it was sent to the wrong paypal' and wanted me to 'chargeback the payment'
So I pretty much owe my friend 130$ now and i've lost the money

If it was indeed an incorrect PayPal, you should be able to cancel the payment as it can't really be accepted. Can you go ahead and try that, please?

No i've lost the money, I already wrote it was virtual goods etc. Also sent with my real home IP.

His mistake cost me 130$ and it cannot be reversed.

In addition, after I sent the money, I could easily tell I got scammed, he wasn't concerned at all. He kept forcing me to chargeback and didn't really care about what I had to say.

But regardless of my vibes, I can't chargeback and i've lost 130$.

 

I understand that you wrote virtual goods, but when a payment is sent to an incorrect PayPal, the payment can always be "refunded" because it has to be accepted first in order to be put into the funds of the account. That is, if the paypal isn't a real paypal/hasn't been created yet. Which it seems like this was because of the unauthorized account.

However, if SM did indeed tell you the wrong PayPal, then he'll have you either get you that $130 refund or pay you for it since he's to blame.

 

It seems that it is indeed a real email/paypal. Can you please try to call PAyPal and have them reverse the payment? I'll send SM a PM

I told my friend to call PayPal and tell them the situation since it's his PayPal. He told me that the person on the phone said virtual goods are not covered and there's nothing they can do to reverse the payment since theres no shipping info etc.

He also told me Skype logs are not legitimate proof (I dont have anything else really)

His mistake cost me 130$ that I now have to repay to my friend. Ridiculous honestly, he should be banned until he refunds me.

 

He claims the skype chat between you two is different so I'm going to PM him and ask him for those. If he can't provide a proper reason as to why he gave you the wrong PayPal, he'll be banned until he pays you.

Edit: Also, give me a picture of the Payment to that incorrect email which still hasn't been charged back. If you did manage to charge it back, I'll give him a TWC if he isn't able to prove anything himself.

@Dave hes lying to you. That's the exact Skype chat point on point. If he provides you with a different Skype chat I will happily screenshare and show you the chats.

 

Seems Cubish was trying to charge back? So I'm not sure I entirely believe that you "couldn't" charge back this payment cubish.

Would like more input from you on this or I'm going to close it in SM's favor.

It shows september 8th, I don't have any messages from him on my Skype chats on that date since I had school and my Skype was hacked.

On an additional note, I don't sell gp for PayPal, I only buy it. I was hacked at the time of this but i've regained access to my Skype

Cube has confirmed the refund. SM Chipmunk will be receiving a TWC. Anyone who gives out an incorrect email like that without fixing it and without helping the user get a refund is just wrong.

SM, you should have gotten involved before this was made into a report. You can dispute the TWC in a month if you trade safely and I see no more reports on you making possibly horrible mistakes like the one seen in this thread.

Also, I don't care if the reasoning behind your telling him the incorrect email may have been because of all the things he said about attempting to charge back. If that was the case, you should have told him to go away and you don't want to trade, not to try and cause him to lose $130. I don't care if he is/isn't scum or if it was him or a hacker who said those things.
