    Scammed, done with sythe.

Bought an account for $150 paypal a few weeks ago and the person retrieved the account the next day and paypal denied my appeals, so lost $150.

Decided to give it another go tonight, and was only willing to deal with very trusted members. Alex2012 messaged me on skype and we worked out a deal for his account, which came out to 45m 07 gold, he sent me a PM from his account so I knew everything was legit. After he gets the 45m gp he says "im quitting sythe, sorry for scam".

I don't know how anyone makes honest trades or purchases on here.

    Pics of proof. ----->

This community is nothing but scumbags and theives. Down $300 to scammers and have received nothing.

that has nothing to do with why a scammer would have access to his SYTHE account.

I'm not saying a scammer had access to his sythe account, You need to provide proof that the person your talking to is Alex2012.

Just because the REAL alex pmd you asking for your sythe information does not mean for sure thats the person you were talking to you on skype.

Which I can almost guarantee its not.

Why would Alex, someone I've never spoken to before, randomly pm me on sythe right after I asked this scammer to pm me?

Okay lets say user X wants to scam you.

User X contacts you pretending to be Alex, When you ask for a PM user X also contacts Alex pretending to be you, wanting a pm, Alex provides you with the pm but is not actually in contact with you through skype.

Make sure you get the skype profile, I can almost guarantee it wont be alex's

Well apparently no matter how many precautions you take the scammers will always win. Being a scumbag gets you places apparently.

But if this is a known scammer practice why does alex just pm people saying "hi" instead of sending me a pm asking if so and so is my real skype, to make sure we are both the person we claim to be.

Make sure you have good trading habits, Try reading the scammer section here: http://www.sythe.org/sythe-org-supp...sythe-org-newcomer-introduction-tutorial.html

The pm Alex sent you is asking what your skype is, that should have instantly have brought to your attention that you had previously been not talking to him.

check this out for an example of how to request a proper PM

Oh, The way the message is configured I thought the "my skype is blah, what is yours?" was apart of his signature, not the message. I thought the message merely said hi.

The configuration of sythe messages can be confusing. Oh well, don't ever plan on doing any deals on here anymore anyway, Only way I'm going to get anything out of this site is if I scam, and I don't plan on doing that.

    Thanks for the help.

I did. You have absolutely no proof that he scammed you. You have skype proof, but you don't even use proper format on skype Id's. Did you bother to look at the scam report format?

I've read the comments and all I can say as: always make the person you're trading with send you a PM with a part of the skype conversation you're having together.

There's not much to discuss about, just compare the persons skype name with "theresanew95". If it matches it was him/her you indeed have been scammed by Alex, if not it was an imposter. Simple as that.>_<

EDIT: I highly doubt Alex2012 would get himself banned over 45m when he could scam atleast bils to scamquit.

the scammer might have contacted him through live chat (his website) etc and said: 'hey alex, pls pm me {link to ur profile} ur skype name, i will add u on skype'
so the pm from alex is completely rational. (he even asked for ur skype so that he can confirm he's speaking to the right user later on)

    http://i.imgur.com/P4dkwht.png
Have you never used the PM system of any other forums?
It's quite clear for me that the signature is everything below the horizontal line.
If the entire message is a signature, its alignment doesn't even make sense (first part aligned to the left, second part to the center),
and why would anyone has 'whats your skype ?' in his signature?

they might be, but u didn't read the stickies when u made the report either (which requested screenshot of profile view like my sig).

This is indeed a common scam practice which is why there are dozens of guides (some of which are stickied) on this site highlighting this scam, which you conveniently ignored despite being new to skype/sythe trading.
And yet u seem to be blaming the site? Are you the guy that filed a lawsuit against McDonald for making u overweight? :p
