Briefly explain the trade: Agreed to a trade of my UC Darigan Ixi for $50 Moneypak. Since I'm new to Sythe, I agreed to go first and sent him the pet. He had some vouches so I figured it would be okay.
How they scammed: Right after receiving the pet, he logged off. I sent him a PM threatening to report. He replied several hours later saying his computer lost connection. He stated he would be online in two hours to send payment, or possibly the next day if not at the given time. He never showed up or sent payment. I asked him to go ahead and send the MP number to my email I had given him for the trade exchange, he asked for confirmation that the email was the same one from before. I replied that it was. When no payment came through on the email, I asked he send it through PM instead, thinking it may be easier for him. No reply.
He has logged on to Sythe repeatedly since then, no replies since email question, and no payment. My last PM to him was stating I would wait until tomorrow for payment or return of the pet before reporting here and taking necessary actions on Neopets. However, I'm reporting early after seeing darkkrad's scammer report also involving a UC Darigan Ixi and noticing Janoski has been online since my last PM and still has made no effort to answer or pay. It all seems very suspicious to me... hoping a moderator can clear things up one way or the other.
As proof, I have screenshots of the pet and all of the PMs from start to finish. I can also grab some paypal/bank account screenshots to prove no payment was received.
Proof that you were not talking to an impostor:
Trade screenshots: I'd prefer to PM the remaining screenshots to a mod for privacy reasons, bank account-related.
