Staff feedback - Scam reports

They don't do anything nor post. I see a section full of unanswered post and more then 4 mods online that of mod in that section

As stated before their job is not easy and half of the people don't post using the correct format so it takes staff longer to look thought it's not sad you don't understand how staff work and how they do other things.

 

Give them advice on how to get better at it instead.

 

As I suggested in the thread of Suggestions section. Highly trusted people should be able to temp ban that have clearly scammed, so it takes 5 minutes instead of hours.

 

Just so everyone knows where I am, I've been dealing with a lot of spam reports with Sengira lately. There were 12 pages this morning, I left to work and there were 5. Probably going to do the rest tomorrow, then I'll be tackling scam reports.

 

My scam report is perfect and the guy is still scamming other people..

 

The amount of scam reports that flood in daily make it hard for mods to get to the case instantly. They must carefully analyze the information and that certainly takes up time.

 

If people spent the time to actually post proper format.
Actually post CREDIBLE evidence/proof that a scam happened, then they would get dealt with so much quicker.

I'm going through all 6 pages, and I find so many are that chatlogs/no proof gold was even given/ no proof who they are on sythe or if their msn matches or anything.

Take the time to PROPERLY report, and it will PROPERLY be handled.

 

Scam reports should come before spam reports tbh.

 

Scam reports should be done before spam to be honest.

Spam reports are just as important as scam reports. A lot of people use spam reports to report people who post RAT's/Keyloggers. Those are more harmful than a scammer by a long shot. They are both equally important.

 

The scammer report section has gotten a tad back logged lately. Personally I think the mods currently attending to it do all they can, and the fact that most people don't report scammers properly is another time wasting problem for them.

However I don't think it'd be the worst idea for the staff to promote a couple members with the purpose of dealing with these reports. It would certainly ease the pressure, and allow sectionals to spend just that bit more time on their section as opposed to dealing with the piling scam/spam reports.

Overall, they're doing a good job as is, I just think it's undermanned.

 

I tried to help sythe forums by reporting a scammer but the thread got just locked. Reported him again and tried to follow the guidelines but it got locked again.

I no-more feel like wasting my time on reporting scammers on sythe

Ofc I understand there is simply not enough staff to deal with all the scammers etc especially since it's not their full time job.

 

I agree, they do take a while to answer scam reports, I suggest they make Moderators that work only in that area...

I've seen a scammer get reported, and go on to scam several other people, before getting banned..

It's sad to see, but you've gotta understand that they have lives, and they have to deal with all of sythe, not just the scammer section

 

Or hire more moderators since more are obviously needed.

 

Well, I think your right if there was a team that just deals with scam reports it would make life better as that will make the staff's job easier, but they have to find trusted people to do it that's the problem it sucks to get scammed and to learn your scammer is still not banned is a blow to the face hence why I have been reporting reports with no proof, I think this matter will be sorted.

 

That also takes time to do, they have to make sure the person they offer the mod position to is trusted, experienced etc.

And they did just promote 2 new mods awhile ago anyway.

 

No offense, but shouldn't scam reports take priority over spam reports?

Couldn't there be a team of mods dedicated to tackling scam/spam reports solely?

The reports have been cleared out by myself and KeroKero. Hopefully now that they've been hacked down, we can keep them down. This takes effort from both staff and users. If you report someone, Please, for the love of god, Use the correct format, and post the raw image links for us, or even better yet, use an
