Explanation of the trade: rsgp for runescape name
How they scammed: Told me he would sell his rsn for 100m 07 (i agreed aslong as he covered snipes and he did covered bonds) Gave him all login details waited for him to do it and then messaged me saying i sniped it (which he would ofcourse saying he didnt give the name out, i have bought/sold names recently no problems till today). We agreed for me to transfer it my self then i pay him however

NAME HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED WITH THAT USERNAME FOR MORE THEN 30 DAYS I CAN CONFIRM VIA PM THATS THE NAME HE WAS TRYING TO SELL TO ME!

@Jerky you took responsibilty for any snipes and went through the name change process for him so you are liable unless you can show evidence that you were not the one who sniped the name.

 

i only traded him because he would take responsibility for snipes, i have sold names to basement where they took responsibility and they xfered it fine. Its his own fault for giving the name out to randoms not sure why this is not resolved yet because clearly hes responsible for snipes.

If this case is true, u can email jagex and explain someone stole the name of you. They will give it back to you (just say its been a long time name and one u loved blah blah), i have a friend in game with 2 number and he got hacked and name changed. Wrote to jagex by email and got it back..

Do this and u shouldn't get robbed for ur name and r01dz can keep his gp

How is it possible to show evidence that I did not snipe the RSN? I was on 2 accounts and it's not possible to be on 3.

Whenever I logged on his account it was even appeared online, he was waiting for me to login to it just so he could know correct timing of when to snipe it.

The first time I tried logging in to the acc, he was even still logged in it for some reason. I told him to get off of it, that was another clue, he knew I was going to login to his acc and get ready. During that moment he logged to his level 3 and got ready to take the name.

While being on 2 accs it gets laggy, where as he unfortunately got it before I was putting it on his acc..

To mention... Right after I tried putting the RSN on his account, his password also instantly changed about 20 seconds later. That's why this is even more fishy..

p.s : He even called me a retard out of no where.. Being offensive towards people is also a way to show that he took it.

 

You took responsibility for snipes. What did you think that meant? Unless you can prove he sniped the name there isn't anything that can be done because you took responsibility about name being sniped..

 

i changed the password because i did not want a member to ruin my account which i paid 400m osrs gp for, why would you want to log on the account after it got sniped anyway? more like you wanted to get defence lvls on it and threaten for something which is your fault for giving the name out to randoms.

 

If I took responsibility for snipes, I would not need to be here for making this argument. If the name didn't get sniped and you believe I took it, I wouldn't be here complaining. Pretty sure if you read my post, you'd follow through. You don't even speculate the evidence, you can't just say "blah blah" while this is dealing with over $120 worth...

 

The pass was changed 20 secs later, prior the name being sniped. You had pass change ready, right after the RSN was sniped. How would you do that w/o me saying anything? Fishy.

1. i changed pass after you said its taken because im not going to let someone like you on it.

3 i logged on rs3 there is no bond on the account so obviously you did not even bother to do a name change.
4. dont tell me you traded the bond of the account when you cried when i changed the pass immediately after it got sniped.

He TOLD ME, the name has no name change, so I need to buy a bond and put it on the account.

I bought the bond, put on account, and activated name change free pass.

Could you take a screenie for us on the account, where there is no "name change available" , better yet a video of you logging into the account. I still have the email. Please, since now you're lying here.

enjoy ban names not been changed in over 30 days. it has a name change sign when it has you tried hard and failed.

I'm not sure you understand how this works @Jerky because it seems you're under the impression that I have no interest in the arguments you're making.

Reporting anyone for scamming means you have to prove beyond doubt that they're guilty of the offence you claim they have committed. The bottom line is that you took responsibility for snipes which means you're liable for snipes. The whole purpose of speaking about snipe liability is because these trades carry high risks.

At the moment its one persons word against another. The only factual information I currently have which is relevant to this case is the fact that @Jerky took responsibility for name snipes. The name got sniped during the name x'fer which @Jerky was dealing with.

I'll wait for more staff input so I'm not seen as taking sides or seen as spouting "blah blah"
