I will research the history of occult crime in New Orleans. I'm sure you are very right here. I also agree with the fact that every town has it's strange and tragic events. But I personally feel that this analogy of percentage regarding occult activity in a town whether it being vast or fringe, is merely based around the definition of it all happening for no apparent reason at all. It's just that someone took a handfull of quarters and threw them into the air and......landing heads or tails or upon whatever you wished for, your town turned peaceful (with a medium percentage of crime) but, almost no occult activity at all and the closes you can get to that level is the kid in the neighbourhood who reads Sci-fi novels. Where you might have a different town that geographically interests the priestess of a cult. One like mine for example that had abandoned farmland and wooded areas for years. The usage of underground tunnels for the young and the elderly would hold their meetings elsewhere like in a church or a mansion.

The commericalized hype of the Day Care Centers in San Antonio caused the skeptics to push this discovery by the wayside during the Satanic Panic era. The idea of a sect posing under the name of any type organization and moving into your town is a centuries old procedure. Some of the sects here in the U.S. derive from hundreds of years ago in Europe and their practice has been passed down from one generation to the next. I personally don't have a reason to doubt if it is real or should we say part of real life.

But....I don't believe there is some kind of mystical force in Vineland that persuaded these Devil Worshippers to feed the grounds. I still believe it;s the quarter theory. I was abused emotionally inside being tied in with friends who were called in as witnesses or watching them being handcuffed or visiting them in the mental hospital. I guess I will never forget it. What's tough about this? I don't really believe in religion too much and losing your friends to it when you are in my state of disbelief can piss you off! It would be interesting to meet someone who has experienced almost the same as me and converse possibly the analogies between us. Thanks for your response.

There's really not a lot of Satanic activity in my town. Most of the "Satanic" kids simply go through that foolish stage. There are however quite a few pagans, judging from how many symbols I see around various kid's necks.

My friends older sister claimed she saw the "Ghost" of a man outside her bedroom door. She screamed and her mum came in and couldn't see it. She thinks it was a demon. (Her family are Christians.)

The difficulty in cases such as these is the connection between youth and adults. Teenagers have a history of going off in the wrong direction. They form a fringe group of their own and are considered loners by the widely excepted teenagers in their local high school. They buy or steal a book on demonology or Satanisim, indulge in drugs, and apply it all for their personal agenda.

When the sh-t hits the fan and someone is murdered, the eye of the public associates the event with adolescent behaviour or typical Satanic Panic mentality. I can understand the attitude developing in the minds of society. They look upon witchcraft, Satanism or the practice of demonology as an escape for confused children.

This type of activity amongst youth occurs quite often and gives people in society as a whole ......the wrong impression. Every once in a while, it is in fact associated with higher ups. The realization of that is dismissed though due to the abundance of occult crimes committed by the youth themselves. The only problem with this reality is the fact that it makes it that much easier for elderly wealthy sects to get away with crime. Most of the time it has to do with the young members being afraid to tell the truth to the police about their connection with higher ups in fear of their own lives being cut short.

It's like organized crime! How can you possibly track every individual that is involved with organized crime? Think about it. If a secret sect is directly connected with the murder of a youth, they usually move fast to a new area. Detectives and law enforcement officials are very professional at their investigations however, nothing can ever be an exact science or should I say getting those results that derive from a suspicion in the mind of a police officer involves a full wide spread investigation. Things do not always pan out the way they should and the kids end up doing time, while the original evil source of doings is hiding behind locked doors or even hiding in plain sight. It's just a fact that most people can't come to realize.

A sect performs a ritualistic killing and it becomes an urban legend. That's a good method of getting away with murder right? No one for the most part is going to believe you when you are a witness and decide that justice should be served.
