Hello! I am here to dispute a TWC that I believe was wrongly given, or at least, given over a misunderstanding. I know exactly why the TWC was given, but I cannot find the thread. I've been absent from the forum ever since, as it was a really embarrassing experience.

If there's a way to find it other than flipping through all of Sythe's posts, please tell me! It's been so long ago that I don't even recall some of the details. (2-3 years estimated).

I'd like to start by saying that I have PM'd Sythe with my side of the story (which will also be posted here) and while I would prefer him to decide on the outcome, I know that he's very busy and may not even see the message any time soon, and that's why I'm making a dispute as well.

When Pokemon GO was still pretty new Sythe was holding a little event, the first 5 people to get so many likes on a facebook status about Pokemon GO and/or sythe.org (can't remember exactly which or both) would get a pokeball badge (I think it was a mini-rank icon, as I said, it's been awhile).

That's all it said. Get # of likes. It didn't say only facebook friends were allowed to like it. So naturally, I made my status public, I shared a link to it in every group I'm in, begging for likes and shares. I sent the link to every single one of my facebook friends and begged them to share to friends/in groups/etc. Admittedly, I even joined a couple "like trading" groups, where I would like and share posts and in return, they'd like and share mine.

My understanding is at this point, I've not broken any rules.

In Sythe's post for the badge/mini-rank I got accused of using bots for likes, because I didn't know the people liking the status. Sythe looked into it and after awhile, he agreed, took away the badge/mini-rank and gave me TWC. My assumption of why he decided it was bots is because at the end, a good number of people whose names were made from middle-eastern and russian characters were liking my status. But it never said in the rules that only my friends could like the status, to be completely honest I don't even have enough friends, RL or on Facebook, to have gotten the badge that way anyway, even if every single one of them liked it.

It was extremely embarrassing. EXTREMELY. I had built my entire Sythe.org account around the fact that I'm honest and never break my word. I considered myself "a Pillar of honesty". And then, the entire community who looked at this thread saw the CREATOR calling me a liar and giving me TWC. And to top it off, I couldn't see that I had done anything wrong! In fact, in my eyes, I put in a ton of work to accomplish those likes. The only word I can think of to explain it is mortifying. I quit sythe right then. I couldn't show my face around here anymore... On top of the embarrassment, I had NEVER done business with someone that had TWC, so why would I expect anyone to do business with me? My sythe career was ended right when I started becoming a known name.

So naturally, I haven't been here to get new vouches, they're all pre-TWC, but as I'm disputing this as TWC being wrongly given, I don't think I need new ones? At any rate, you can see from the link to my vouches, that I had 100% positive feedback. I recently got into Runescape again, decided I'd reopen my questing service for extra GP, had completely forgotten about the TWC, and was actually wondering why I quit getting on here in the first place. Logged in to update my quest service so I could make some extra GP on the side, and noticed the TWC... Decided I'd stay around for the social aspect while attempting to get it removed so I could re-open my service.

So can I get this removed so I can start offering my services again?

 

@Saint Grim - I will be looking into this, I can see there is a dispute posted for self vouching (two week ban + twc) which I believe is where your TWC came from.

I will let you know once I have confirmation of this
