Highscores P2P only (Updated with Rank Differences)

In my opinion, this is utter bullshit.

Killing this is killing probably the most important part of Runescape history. I am really almost disgusted that they would do this.

I disagree, I think it'll be a fresh - New start, and anyone who wants to keep their name in the hiscores will simply have to pay for their membership, and continue to play. Although that is a tac to deploy - And, in-turn up the membership count of players. It also gives people an actual chance of being number #1 , then again the 3B xp count of the person currently #1 will detour a lot of people, even if botting were to come back you'd have to at least play for another 5+ years practically non-stop, but you'd at least have a chance of making the top 50.

 

This is a failed update for two reasons mainly. First off because highscores should en-capture ALL players, not just the p2p, who's to say a f2per isn't "active" like stated in the thread. If they're looking for inactivity take someone off the highscores after being inactive for a year and if they come back just restore them on the scores.

Second, I don't think anyone is going to get membership just because they want to be on the highscores.

This is horrible. I know some pretty goddamn PRO purely f2p players.
I can't see the benefit of doing this.

 

This is extremely unfair to the F2P players.. I feel horrible for them. Many of them have reasons or circumstances that make them unable to be able to PAY to play an internet browser game. Yet they are still passionate about playing Runescape, and work 5x as hard as anybody with P2P benefits to achieve the exact same goals... and now they are not going to be recognized for that??

Fucking bullshit IMO.

 

Jagex is so greedy, there's no logical reason to remove f2p highscores, and I thought they were doing good for a while removing bots and stuff

 

With all the good things Jagex has been doing:
-Removing bots (not that I like it)
-A solid quest for the first time in ages
-Removing dicing

We all knew they were going to screw up at one point or another, right?

 

Free to Players just clog up the high scores with the amount of accounts that are created. Anyways only members go for ranks so it doesnt really mater.

 

Meh, hardly a big deal. I could understand if you were f2p only nearly maxed, but other than that does it really matter?

Doesn't affect me. What is the point of playing RS if you are only going to be F2P?

Everytime I have come back to RS after a quitting streak, I have gotten P2P before even logging on because I know that RS isn't worth bothering with if you are F2P.

 

Nobody cares about rank when you're still like 200k+.

This is about Lover Romeo, Toony, etc... the guys who 'made history' but are now getting fucked.

 

I didn't think of that until now, but I see your point .. Jagex should make it so that people who have extremely low ranks should keep their spots
