Safe to buy bulk?

I'm looking to buy 1b+, but worried about getting cleaned.. I have not done any large trades before, and its for my main acc. Should I buy in smaller increments, or can I assume 1b is safe to buy?

 

I've done quite a lot of ~100M trades and I haven't been cleaned yet. I tend to do around 5-10 RWT trades before switching to another account. You should try to find a seller that is willing to fake a Duel Arena transfer or a dicing transfer or something to reduce the risks I guess. Some are willing to do that, but you can't do that when you are dealing with player auctions and that's exactly what most sellers use when selling 1B+.

 

You can do a couple things to lower the chance of being scammed.

1. Get a Official Middleman (OMM) or a trusted member of the community to act as a normal Middleman (i'd stick to OMM). Although, usually there are fees for their service.

2. Make sure the person you are buying for is trusted and has sold large quantities before. You can measure a persons trust on their post count, join date, donations and most importantly the value/amount of their vouches.

I didn't JaGeX pays attention to money transfer in members anyway? You can always stake it in a members world and then you'd always be safe thats what I thought

 

Yeah generally if you do these sorts of things in members world it reduces the risks by a hell of a lot. My friend bought 1b gp and just straight out traded it in a members world, didnt get banned. However I told him he's an idiot for simply trading it, I recommend you do something like Duel Arena, or trade increments over several accounts

 

yeah ,its safe to buy.My friends and I had bought large amounts from a website,never had any problem with it,and i recommend you doing though duel arena ,its much More Secure.

 

Bought 300m from playerauctions. Got the mills traded to me from what seems to be a bot account on a f2p server. He had the standard bot equipment (whatever the items are named). I almost shit myself and thought I'm going to get cleaned hard now. Nothing happened

 

Playerauctions is safe+cheap,but if you aren´t the original owner and just bought a account recently from a newcomer i wouldnt recommend you putting 1B on the account.

 

Trade with care, I made my first trade in years (sold 300m) and got cleaned. It was in a f2p world.
I recomend that if you are buying 1b for example, make a 100m to nothing duel, and then ask the seller to make a 100m to 100m duel, then 200m to 200m, 400m to 400m... so the seller wont risk getting scamed, and you wont risk getting cleaned.

 

There are a few ways to transfer. (some of these will require items)

1. Dangerous portal in clan wars.
2. Wilderness kill
3. Staking

 

If your buying from a legit seller , with vouches and all , you should have no problem.
