Saddest scam attempt done to you?

I wanna hear the funniest scam attempts people have tried to scam you with.

I have 2...

1) Back in the day I was spending a whopping 11,000 RSGP for some account and he scammed me 11k LOL

2) Some guy tried to convince me he had $100,000+ in his PayPal account. His only proof was a picture you could easily have editied with the source code of the website haha

 

On Sythe: Someone made a name like Admin123 or something close to it, and tried to convice me in pm that he was a staff member and needed my password.

On RS: Same thing, idiots make accounts with names to try and convice me they work for jagex and they need my password, lol.

Moral of the story, you'd be amazed that even complete dumb asses try to scam people.

 

1. There was a guy trying to scam me on Runescape, then he meant to Pm his friend saying 'This kid is way too easy to scam', but it actually came to me.

 

1. armor trimming for free!!!!! runescape in the good old days =]

 

RuneScape pin scams. The kids are so desperate that they don't even cover their own tracks and end up getting their money taken back anyway.

I also had someone try this with 1M GP, I knew it was a scam but I couldn't pass up the chance to ban a guru for it. >_<

 

Some guy failed to scam me for an account and then asked for me to pay him to "compromise for the time he wasted trying to scam me". I almost died laughing

 

Some kid trying to sell me Yogosun :/ Horrible tbh.

 

A leecher tried too buy A pin from me claiming I should go first cause he has 5 level 99's on Runescape...

(I had 60 Vouches at the time)

 

Probably these kids who have tried to get my password ingame by pming me on a "jaged moderator nickname". Can't think of anything sadder than them lol

 

Once i was about to trade my rs acc for $100 usd. we got an OMM and everything. I send my details to the OMM and the guy leaves. the OMM didnt take my acc or anything but he wasted like 30 mins of my time..

 

Someone named [email protected] tried to scam me, wrong username and not even close to his real email :/

 

Just all the dot tk sites people advertise

 

Probably someone trying to sell me a level 138 who couldn't even speak English and wanted me to go first, and said "but my friends say im trusted" XD. Didn't even have a Sythe account.

 

btw nice idea for a thread.

back in the old rs days a low level told me to give him my rune and he'll cast high alachamy and it'll turn into gold. ( He thought rune g ).

Wrong section but some guy was like:
amg son go first to me I'm a leecher and I will give the account to my son.
He said he worked for an anti-virus company and was very rich.
Said that his son mattered the most and he bought him many RS accounts a week. T.T

 

Lmfao. I agree the free trimming service made me lol.. :L

 

This loser lvl 3 comes up to me and claims to have an item dupe. He asks me to drop my stuff and press alt+f4. Lmfao.

 

This was back when I played RS When staking was still around.

I was lvl 126 at the time, he was about level 30 asked me to stake 100m cash for his 20m. He completely fucked me over when he removed shield, and it was a range only fight I only had Mage bow. and he told me he had 100k knifes.....

Sad thing is I spent half the night, logged in LMAO then I just gave in!

 

Kid tried to give me 100k Needles for whip. Back when it was 1.1 >>
