    Upgrade to vista?

You'll have to purchase it. If you want to do it from your computer, you can order Vista from an online store or microsoft it's self.

Pirating vista is the stupidist thing ive EVER heard

They PURPOSELY bugged vista so you would need to update it constantly so that they can keep a listing of whos pirating and whos not.

No, they would never purposely bug their product, or no one will buy it. To put it simply, they didn't spend all of there time patching all security flaws, so like you said, they can be constantly updating it. Microsoft actualy said; "One sale lost to fraud, is better than one sale lost to a competitor".

Make sure your PC can support Vista first.

    Upgrade to vista?

I would stick with XP. I personally use Vista on one machine, Ubuntu on another and XP Pro on my main.

I imagine you're over exaggerating but yes, Vista basically requires 2gb of RAM.

And Ghost, Ubuntu owns! I use it on my PC and it's way better than XP or Vista.
