Ryze Items discussion

What items do you buy at the beginning of the game, and once you've saved up eventually?

(This is for Ryze only)

i tend to start of with a hp potion and a mana gem, since that boosts his Q spell.

What about you?

 

I start with a Sapphire Crystal and a couple of health potions. On my first recall I buy tear of the goddess, boots of speed a ward and another couple of potions. Eventually I build Sorcerer's Boots, Rod of Ages, Will of the Ancients, Banshee's Veil, Archangel's staff > Seraph's Embrace, Frozen Heart and Void Staff.

 

Boots and 3 pots>tear or catalyst dependant on the game. Then either rush ROA, Banshees or FH, again, all situational.

End game aim for FH, Banshees, Void, Sorc boots, Seraphs and either Roa/abyssal/wota/warmogs/ga.

 

And what spells should i unlock first? I always struggle to decide on Q/W

My first 0 death game

 

Unlock Q first I'm guessing you're a lower level if I play ranked games I unlock my w first in case of an invade/ we invade. But i go unlock order: q-w-e max q then w then e ofc always getting ult at 6-11-16. Last hit minions with q and use e to help push, and for some easy Harrass. If you see a big minion wave coming use your ult and all your spells to kill it and get the max CS as possible.

For a 1v1 fight you should combo r-q-w-q-e-q- and hopefully he'd be dead if not run and do it again remember your passive when u use an ability cd is reduced I think that's ryze anyways ha my laptops broken since Wednesday so I'm on my ipad.

Lastly don't do that build unless major ryze update since Wednesday or unless you're support ryze but don't support ryze

IMO Muramana is much more useful than seraphs on Ryze.

 

don't get the dorans shield or the life steal you pretty much want only mana/ap unless you go with muramana but yeah go dorans ring if you are low on gold and need some sustain

I wouldn't even get that other shield item thing ( sorry havnt played in couple days forget names lol) you should get the mana with ap and hp the purple one (I suck) lol

 

Oh yeah. If u saw it was a pretty fast game; we only have 4-6k gold each, so i was struggling on decent items to get.

Now i tend to get boots and 3 hp pots to start (no idea why but to start boots>gem)

Then when i get 1000 gold (i am decent enough to kill them and get 1000 gold before i die 7/8 times) I get the tear and some more hp pots.

What lane should i go? I started by going mid, but wasnt managing those early game kills, so i went bottom and its going great. Normally i get an Amumu to go with me. Any better suggestions?

 

Ryze is an AP champion and AP champions tend to either go mid or top. (mostly mid). You should not go bot at all. An ad carry and support is normally seen in the bot lane.

And Amumu is generally a jungler

 

Boots 3 pots to start.
First buy is Tear + wards
Then catalyst
Then boots (movement speed is critical)
From there it is ALL situational.


Catalyst -> RoA or Banshee's if heavy AP.
Frozen Heart if heavy AD. In which case you build ROA first.

Manamune vs. Manamura (not sure if these names are right) - Depends on playstyle / enemy team.

 

often times I use tele and flash and start with a mana crystal and health pot and go b when i have 750 for boots and that one thing and tele back and then I tele back when I have around 2k

 

diamond player here:

start the mana regen part of the tears -

First b get boots + tier. Then catalyst into Rod/banshees -
finish manamune get FH, then you can build whatever you want

 

Hmm ima try going top thanks for all the help.

If it doesnt work out then i'll go back to bot;

Also i run with Tele/Ghost. Ghost to either hunt a kill down or escape from death

 

Ryze is far better mid.

Flash/Ignite, or Flash/TP.

 

Just stacking RoA still seems halfway viable imo.
