Welcome back man. What're you up to nowadays?

 

Thanks man. I just finished up my second year of college, and I am currently doing an internship at Merrill Lynch for the summer. Other than that, there's nothing new that I can't think of.

 

No fucking way. What're you doing at Merrill? I have two buddies that work there

What're you majoring in?

 

I'm interning with the Client Reporting Group. Where do they work?

I'm majoring in Business & Technology, with a concentration in Finance.

 

How did you manage to "retire" from being a global and get it back again. Not attacking you in any way but does this have an affect on the possibility of others being promoted now? Might be a question aimed at the wrong person, myb if so.

Promotions are earned by a status trust, respect, and dedication within the community.

When you receive a staff position, you have received enough support for the opportunity to improve the website in bigger ways. That trust is typically earned in numerous methods and retiring from a position doesn't just make that value of confidence disappear.

He has been registered to Sythe since 2010. That is six years of his life that he has been a part of this community. During six years, a lot of things can change in a person's life. Based on Ryan's previous post, he must have gone to college.

Your question might be better suited for the staff, but I believe that people are promoted when they're recognized as an individual that has the potential to improve the website with an upgraded status. If the administrators feel that someone has earned an upgrade, they will most likely receive it whether or not Ryan is a super mod.

I can't really comment on a decision that wasn't made by me. I didn't have time before, so I gave up my position. I have some more time now, so I asked to return to staff. I passed the poll. There's not much more to it. Also, we don't really have a set limit of mods that we can have on staff, so me coming back doesn't have a significant impact on the possibility of others being promoted.

Thanks man. Dang you just made me think about how long I've been on this site. When I signed up I hadn't even started high school yet. That was some deep stuff man rofl
