Ban rate for buying gold?

As for buying gold for personal use, in amount 50m and under; how much risk is there getting banned for RWT?

Obviously not going to buy from a Chinese seller and not going to use a mule.

You shouldnt get banned tbh. My friends and I have bought and sold gold for awhile now and none of us have ever been banned. Just wouldnt do it on a newly created account tbh.

 

Buyers should honestly have no worries about buying gold. Think about drug-dealers; is law enforcement looking to arrest the people using the product, or the people supplying it?

 

I've purchased on an account multiple times from the same supplier and never had an issue. There is a small chance you can be banned, but generally the risk is falling on the sellers and the mules that they use to handle the gold.

 

No need to use a mule, honestly.

Jagex goes after the sellers, kind of like how the DEA goes after the dealers instead of the users.

Eh wouldn't say so. Seen a couple posts here of a few people who got banned buying gp from chinese sellers.

Trade random items with the gold when you do it.

 

Just be sure to trade random items. Although it's nothing more than superstition, I'd say it certainly helps. But as everyone else has said: non-existent. You won't be banned

 

Very low chance I have rwt around 500m-1b , never been caught, Not a lot to some people but still, very low chance of getting caught.

You wont get banned for buying 50m unless you brag about it to jagex.

 

Close to 0, and people who do get banned for buying gold are typically administered a short temp ban, rather than a perm one.

I don't think jagex tracks low amounts like 50m being traded through players

 

It is very rare. If you keep your mouth shut, and follow precautionary measures, then you should be in the clear.
