rwt bans in 2024

hello,

recently purchased a little less than 2b and was traded it directly at ge in a p2p world, cb level >80.

first time rwt'ing and am now super paranoid. this account has months of playtime, and was a lapse in judgement during a manic episode lol. i have not received either a warning nor a ban yet but can't help but think that I will get a perm ban somewhere down the line weeks or months from now, and have been scouring every part of the internet for hours everyday since.

is it true they sometimes do rwt bans in waves weeks after? was it dumb of me to do such a large amount in one go?

you get a warning / ban when they catch the seller usually if you don't get banned immediately. you are prob chillin tho and if anything happens you will only get a warning most likely

If you still have not received any form of punishment you can in my opinion assume you're safe.
However please do know that bans, either temp or perm, can happen any time you rwt.
You can decrease those odds by 1, avoid trading in a f2p world, avoid trading a low level account that looks like a bot or typical goldseller, avoid obscure places.

I think jagex are way harder on sellers than buyers, again, good luck!

I feel like this is normal, and they probably don't have a life-long trade record they look at when the ban happens. It's probably more like the last day. These accounts are online 24/7 when they do this, so it could be over 50 individual transactions they carry out before the ban.

Jagex COULD track this, but remember... they make money from people buying bonds with RWT money. They intentionally don't bring down the hammer, because they would literally go out of business.

I hope you get luckier than I did. I did the same as you -- traded with a reputable website in items for 1.3B (for a Shadow). Bought it and ended up trading it with a reputable account (lvl 110+) at the GE like I'm loaning it out. Next day I was banned without any prior warnings. it *does* happen. Maybe I'm an outlier case, but Jagex is vindictive when it comes to it not being their GP and their $$$.

i actually got off with just a warning lmao, got really lucky. never risking it on this account again though

It might just be luck, but I've noticed that if you and your gold seller have each other added (this works mainly with smaller providers who use the same account to trade), the risk of getting a RWT ban seems much lower.

I trade with small providers this way, doing around 3-5 billion trades at a time, and I've never encountered any issues.

yh buying gold is and not getting banned is kinda just pure luck!

 

Majority of my mules are level 3s and I use them every single day for payments for Fire Capes.
All of them are 10+ year old accs, 0 bans.
Trading "high level accounts only for safety of transaction" is the biggest myth in entire RSGP market.
Really important is who are you buying from and what's the frequency of trades on account you're trading.
