Russian Roullete (Dice Game)

Hey I thought of a fun dice game called “Russian Roullete”. The idea is a revolver has 3 blanks and 1 bullet in it. If you’re feeling brave enough roll a 4 sided dice and hope that you don’t get the bullet. A good amount of time you'll make a quick buck playing this game but the consequence for losing is fatal!

If you roll a 1 you got the bullet! You owe 3x your bet (If you bet 5m you owe me 15m in total).

However, rolling a 2,3, or 4 means you got a blank and win 1.8x your bet (If you bet 10m i’d give you 8m).

I will not accept your bet unless you follow the below conditions.

Conditions:
- Your bet can range from 5-30m EOC or 500k-3m 07 (Paypal not accepted)
- You must roll a 4 sided dice
- If you roll a 1 (lose) you owe me 3x your bet (Ex. If you bet 5m you owe me 15m in total)
- If you roll a 2,3, or 4 (win) I will give you 1.8x your bet (Ex. If you bet 10m I will give you 8m in total)
- You agree to follow the "Betting Procedure" below:

Most revolvers are either 5 or 6 shots, actually.

 

Yeah i know, the payouts work nicer with 4 though .

Curious what you calculated the odds to be

 

I never did a mathematical calculation, but just from looking at the numbers, it's too low for me to be interested in.

 

This is an 85% payout.

Judging from your comment either:
- you never worked out the odds, so didn't know they were so bad
- you think these odds are good

Not sure which of these you are. Regardless, I don't support house edges in this dicing subforum; it just doesn't seem right.

 

also wtf @ paying 3x your bet.

Your bet IS WHAT YOU BET. You should just pay that if you lose, and you pay out less.

 

Thought it was 85% also but wasn't completely sure, thanks for clearing that up. I was aiming for the same payout as flower game on Runescape (also 85%) which seemed fair.

With the game designed to have people win 75% of the time that wouldn't make any sense.
