Running 15 Bots on a laptop

Is it possible to run like 15 bots on this Asus G73 laptop with 16GB RAM? Or do I need to upgrade processor also, it's currently Intel Core i7-720QM 1.6-2.8GHz.

That's 8GB RAM; and you would need something to keep it cool.
I would opt for a VPS or a desktop instead though, as you probably wouldn't go travelling with a laptop like that.

 

From my experiences, on my PC I run 3 bots per client and each client takes up 1gb of memory. So going from that yes you will be fine, but over heating will most likely be an issue.

I see others say 1 bot takes up 500mb of memory (so in my example 3 bots / 1 client will use 1.5gb memory) but either way you should be ok.

A Desktop PC would probably be better for botting and unless the fans are useless, it shouldn't overheat.

 

I had 5 sorc bots running in one client, and that only was 750MB RAM. So try to put as many as possible in one client.

 

Well this laptop has huge vents, so I don't think that it's going to overheat.
I know that it has 8GB, but I just wanted to know if 16GB RAM could run 15 bots.

The 16GB would run 15 bots fine, if it is decent RAM, that is. The proc would do fine.

It's possible, but if you do this for prolonged time you will burn your comp out in under a year, especially the fans.

But taking a 2h break every day should prevent those things from happening, right?

And if anything should happen, theres warranty.

You could build a better desktop for cheaper, or build one for the same price and run even more bots on it.

 

A laptop like that is made for heavy use. I'm sure it can withstand it if you give it breaks though don't run it 24/7. I'm sure it'll definitely cut the life span of it though as others have said. A desktop has a lot more power being ran to it, I'm not sure that AC adapter is going to cut it.

But regardless you could get more oomph for cheaper with a desktop. You don't really need a laptop if it's just running bots all the time. You're paying a lot of money for portability, rather then power.

Thats a pretty beast laptop though.

 

Get a name brand cooling pad to go with it, or run it in your freezer and you'll be fine.

So with the pad the laptop won't overheat and ofcourse, I'm not running the laptop 24/7.

 

how do you get so many bots in only 1 client? when i use 3 bots i open 3 cliets...

Anyways, The issue isnt the RAM on these. Its the CPU Usage, Most bots use about 7-15% of ur CPU

Im running a 1090T Overclocked to 3.4Ghz and im at 70% CPU Usage @ 11 bots

 

my dad bought that laptop for x-mass i cant bot on it i bot on the laptop i get for x-mass but cooling is NOT a problem with the vents on it


and they look even bigger in real life then in the pic
