    Running 1000 bots

All my botting rigs get paid off the first month. The very next month is almost all profit except for memberships, employee pay, electricity and internet. You can hire full time employees around the world for $400 a month. Which is a win win situation since some of there average wages are $200-250 a month. I would recommend purchasing motherboards, ram, cpu, power supply, hdd, and build a single custom case to house them all. I would also recommend attaching a portable air conditioner to keep them cool with an exhaust fan. This will allow you to efficiently run 20+ bots. On my own rigs I run 22 on a quad core and I could easily run 30+

If you have funds for bills to make it through one month this might be well worth it. At the end of all this you will have a lot of quad cores to sell that hold decent value on Ebay :)

Your math is wrong as well, and the figures you're coming up with are incredibly generous.

    1,000 P2P bots @ $4/Membership = $4,000

a $30 VPS will let you run 4 bots, so you'll need 250 monthly subscriptions to a VPS to be able to run them all:

    250 x $30 = $7,500

So that's $11,500 for that alone.

Auth codes to fund for 1,000 bots:

    1,000 x $14.95 = $14,950

    So there's $26,450 for start-up alone.

Each month you're paying $11,500, so for 1 year, you'll be paying the following:

    $14,950 + 12($11,500) = $152,950

Now let's calculate time; something money can't buy:

Each bot on average, takes about 1 minute to start up, and generally bots run for an average of 36 hours before getting caught in a random/running out of supplies

    1,000 Bots x 1 Minute = 1,000 Minutes = 17 Hours just to start up all 1,000 Bots

Harvesting/Restocking the bots take even longer, I'd say an average of about 3 minutes per bot

So every bot harvest session you do will take the following amount of time:

    1,000 Bots x 3 minutes = 3,000 Minutes = 50 Hours to harvest all 1,000 Bots.

Let's say you make 100k/hour per bot, you don't have time to start up your own gold shop so you have to sell in bulk for $0.37/M, or $0.037/Hour per bot

    1000 Bots x $0.037/Hour = $37/hour

    $37/hour = $888/Day = $6,216/Week = $27,010/Month

That's if each bot ran 24/7/365

Factor in System Updates, which usually occur early in the morning, and are usually on a weekly basis; each System update would cost you 17 hours of restarting bots, which is an entire day.

On top of that, many bots get stuck literally hours after start-up, whether it be in a random event, or just the bot glitching. If you're using free bots from RsBuddy, then expect the 17 hour startup to occur literally every single day. Further hurting your rate of return.

Long story short, there's no way a single person could run a bot farm that can capacitate 1,000 bots; it would literally take a team of ~15 people to effectively manage a farm that big.

Jesus, Imagine the time its going to take to actually
sell all the raw materials and Restock, especially if whatever method you use is not that stable and you can only pull off short 2-3hr proggys -.-

-The cost of scripts is a 1-off expense, and if that expense was to NOT be taken, there are free script options available (but of course that is not the best option IMO)

-The VPS cost is recurring, which can be cut out if you buy the towers yourself

-The P2P cost is recurring, which to maximize profits is almost manditory. However, if that was to be cut out, you could still make 75k/hr from each bot

-You talk about it taking 17 hours to set up your bots after a system update, but that is why I counted 26 days of botting time instead of 30 or 31. Even if you missed 1 day for every week in a 4 week month, you still have 26-27 days of botting

-You do have a good point regarding COLLECTING and RESTOCKING your bots, but you must consider whether or not you need to restock anything for the bots you are running

-I also agree that it wouldn't be a 1-person job to run that many bots...You would go mad maintaining them all. Can try to live the dream though

NeXus bots, although arguably the most stable bots on the market, still are not perfect. Bots will mess up, get stuck in randoms, or get stuck in the log-in screen, most of the time they don't even run fluid for 24 hours...

I have no respect for any of this. Go run 1,000 bots if you can .. "Jagex announces the laughing stock of all time"

1000 seems excessive but i think running 100 on VPS would make a nice profit that you could maintain yourself

Seems as if he was speaking about 600 bots, not 1,000 as in your initial calculations..

    OT: Good luck buddy.

1,000 bots, as already stated by the majority of people in this thread, is considerably one too many.

Just to enforce what most people have stated, start small then expand.

This. The gold market will probably collapse within the next year with the direction RS is going in, so either you'll have to wait until Stellar Dawn or just find another new game to try to farm gold off.

Hire a scriptwriter to make a Bot-Bot. You know, A bot that sets up other bots :D. Actually, now that I think about it, that's not a bad idea :) good luck with this.

The idea is pretty insane, but you left out one thing or either I'm tired and missed it. What are you planning to bot, I mean getting requirements for 1000 accounts is gonna take you litterly months.

If it's like RS then hell fucking yes I will be. It's easy as hell to make scripts for point and click games. (Well, after you've been programming for a few years)

Thats cool that you are being very ambitious about this bot farm, but lets be real here... 1000 bots?! You would need an empty warehouse or something to house all the equipment you would need to run that. Not to mention, you would need a decent amount of cash to get started, and probably have to hire a couple techies to help keep the computers and servers running without problems. That would be pretty damn cool if you actually did this though... talk about a slap in the face to Jagex :D

I have a friend on Sythe I sell 1500-2000 upgrades to per month, the reason he is able to uphold this many accounts is because he owns a very large company in china.

The advantages of him being able to uphold his botfarm company in China is because

    1. workers only need about 1500 chinese yuan per month ($200 usd per month)
    2. electricity costs a super cheap
    3. computers are super cheap

Unless you have alot of these advantages, you're profits are going to be terrible/not as good.

Not only will you not be motivated, but what he tells me is that from 1500-2000 bots 20-30 get banned average daily, and then theres also bots that u progressively need to level to bot.

He also has an amazing upgrade seller to gain more profit :)

All in all, thinking this largely is going to devote your time and others, it would be on a business level, not a personal.
