Runescape v Mechscape

Hey well do you think once mechscape is released it'll take over runescape and they'll abonden it like they did runescape classic??

No, MechScape is a totally different game. That's like saying FunOrb takes over RuneScape. They are different games and I doubt that RuneScape will be abandoned.

 

agreed but i suppose alot of people will try it at first instead of playing runescape so i'm sure rs will be dead a few days then people will find pros and cons and decide which game they like better it will be balanced out im sure but everyone will play at first.

i was thinking the same bh would be dead we could just post for everyone to go to bh and there u go xfer 100m at a time jk but im sure this will be an advantage tbh i doubt i will play mechscape i don't wanna get addicted to another game when im so far into runescape thats like stopping and playing wow basically. ;D

 

Once they announce mechscape I'm going to make a mechscape phisher . And mechscape is f2p , but I heard you have to buy special items for real money.

 

I'll rush for all the popular names, like Zezima and all the runescape celebrities. I gurantee there is money to be had in making popular account names.

 

because they don't want to do the same mistake as they did in runescape look how many rwt sites there are for runescape.. so if they make their own shop no one would buy from other untrusted sites...

Has there been any confirmation that MechScape will even exist?

I don't like how RS is following the MMO trend. Guild Wars and WoW had PVP servers and etc... What did RuneScape do? PVP WORLDS!

Now, if I follow correctly, you're saying Jagex will make certain items buyable for $$... I a GameSage at AeriaGames, and I see more and more 'Item Malls' popping up in games. Another trend followed.

Appearently, all of the mechscape domain names have been payed for by Jagex Ltd. (saw this somewhere, don't quote me).

 

If mechscape is great 40-65% of runescape population will be lost.
If it is ok 20-30% will be lost.
If it sucks 5-10% will be lost.

Mechscape was confirmed at the E3 thing. You can find the video by typing in "Jagex at E3 confirming game" or something like that on youtube. Anyways it's 100% real. Also, from what I've heard, you will be able to use your runescape name in mechscape, that way you don't have to create a new username and stuff, but I read that somewhere.

1. Mechscape is not the name of the game, it is the name of the project to create the game. The name is unknown.

2. All runescape names and mechscape names are the same! You will not have to create a new account, and ur name is reserved.

3. If you want to know anything at all about the Mechscape project go to Mechscapeworld.com , its a fansite that is totally safe and tells you allot.

I bet you that all names created on Rs will not be available on mechscape. Like the funorb thing when it came out

 

Jagex have said that Runescape will still be their 'first born' and that they will keep it updated. They also said that it will be the priority for the next few years.
