runescape pre-paid card launch

well they finally did it....and they are out in target now...same exact place where nexon did it with there games...kind of ironic i'd say. go check out the front page of rs for more info. discuss if this was a good idea or not by jagex.

 

ROFL, its an online game, if you cant buy a cd u sohuldnt be able to buy game cards, thats it.

 

they probably did that so people will stop flaming that no update was released yet so technically they will have another 2 weeks for themselves to release that wildy update... JAGEX IS SO FULL OF SHIT!

yea i saw it.. good idea but i dont think they are gonna be a HUGE success...

 

they are full of success for me now i can walk a few blocks and get me some gamecards. Im gonna buy these like a fucking madman.

 

This was a good update for people who got parents that wont let them get members now I could go to the mall and get one, unless theyre like high priced.

 

Must someone always create a new thread for every single update Jagex puts out???

 

I think it could be good for Jagex, because I'm sure all the little kids that have parents that say they can't have membership will just go to Target and buy them.

 

I think they're hoping it will be easier for people to buy RS membership as a gift now (it's never too exciting to open up a present and find a bunch of numbers scribbled on a piece of paper).

Maybe they also hope it could be an impulse purchase. Who knows, but does it really make a difference?

 

I'm totally just fucking taking the cards into the bathroom and stealing the codes.

 

Have fun with that... I'm pretty sure you have to buy them for them to become an active code...

I am actually surprised it took them this long.

 

It's not like they were, "OH shite, we need an update! Go think of something guys!"

They've obviously been figuring this out for a while, you can't just get something designed, manufactured, tested, etc and then figure it out with Target in a few days...
