Runescape on Xbox

Would this be a good idea?
I personally think it would be.

How would you click? There are a lot of functions that a computer can perform that an xbox controller can't. Typing would also be difficult

 

Can plug a USB keyboard in and could use te analogue stick as mouse left trigger as left click right trigger as right click. Obviously they would need some alterations but I could be do able.. Could make voice chat channels etc.

 

I don't think it would be a very good idea.. Runescape is unique because of it's clicking. Some people like it, others don't. And on XBOX you are usually playing games with nice graphics, playing Runescape would only make you realise how ugly it is I think

But really, why would you want to see Runescape on XBOX, what do you not like about PC or what do you think you'd like more on XBOX?

 

Oh I see what you mean, I still think that it'd be damn-near impossible to replicate the precision of a mouse with an analog stick though. Imagine trying to pk. I guess you can perform some basic things on rs though. Voice chat sounds cool

 

They could develop all functions into an Xbox compatabile state like te buttons being hot keys. The voice chat could be everyone in a 20 squared area

 

It's the fact I could be in an Xbox live party chat chilling out whilst playing...

 

i think it might be cool. i have similar thoughts as video though..

I do and I don't agree I think it is a obstacle but only a small one

 

This will never happen nor would I want it to. But technology will get to the point where your console will be able to function like a computer or consoles will be built into computers. If you haven't heard of it check out the "steam box" that valve is looking to create a new console that could possibly be part of a laptop. But nothings confirmed either way I see something like that in the near future.

 

Not sure Jagex are looking to expand to the console market anytime soon, they've always pretty much been stuck on the PC for their games.

 

miecraft also came for xBox, so why not rs?^^
but i think it would make no sense if you would need an extra mouse and keyboard when you could easily play it on a computer

I would personally much rather play it on a computer. I don't think the game would look very nice being stretched out on a big HDTV. Jagex would have to redo the graphics immensely. And if it looks nothing like the computer version, then I guess it's not really RuneScape..?
The idea is also very inconvenient and expensive. Why would someone spend all that extra money on the game disc/extra equipment when they can just open up their laptop or turn on their computer and start playing?

 

I dont think this will ever happen, Although I think runescape should implement voice chat.

 

its an ok idea, but you have to pay for Xbox live, ps3 would be a better console...but everyone has access to a computer, so they're going to stick with computers

 

The big thing everyone is forgetting is the size of runescape and the amount of people that play this isn't something like call of duty where you can divide the pop into little groups I just don't see it being able to handle 1-2k people plus all the npc's etc.

Omg it would be really cool but it would prolly be a new rs :'( and every 1 would suck for the 1st couplemonths
