Runescape Major Lag Problem (EOC). Final help attempt.

PLEASE READ BEFORE ANSWERING. I have tried everything! The problem is that it will lag every few seconds and sometimes freeze. Sometimes i cant even login or make it to the lobby. Earlier I had a lag where nothing would happen my character would just stand there, but now things work but it freezes and lags. This prevents me from playing. I dont want to pay 4 something i havent been able to play. I have had this account for 6 year. Heres what I have tried: Clear the cache, downgrade graphics, uninstall/reinstall java, let it sit and fix its self, redownload client (i use client and browser). My computer is fine, but i am currently checking for a virus because my skype freezes my cpu when i use it, but i am still pretty sure it is not a virus. Please help. I am on the verge of an outrage and also just clueless about what is going on. Please no dumb answer because I have been working on this for weeks!!!!!!!! :(

    Boiling Point: 9.3/10

EDIT: I am not using safe mode...

EDIT: Wow...I found somewhere that i should update my drivers. It seems better, BUT I could still use other tips just in case something goes wrong

Are you playing on Safe-Mode ingame when you checkout the graphics on EoC?

Had this issue after fresh windows copy. For some reason, i installed x32 or some weird number windows 7 and same shit happened like you. Installed x86, havent seen any similar issues anymore.

I was about to say which OS do you have. It all depends on the number with windows, as x32 is what I used to run and it hated RS for some reason, but then every other version I've had since has been working without a problem.

You have lag, yet don't want to use safe mode. That just seems retarded to me.

If you have tried everything already such as clearing your cache, re-installing java, using different web browsers and etc... but yet you are getting the same result then there is only two reason that I can see as the problem. A virus had infected your OS system or you have been infected with a lot of spywares. Scanning them with your anti-virus might work but there are some virus and spywares that cannot be removed no matter what.

You have to know that there are some virus where when it manages to infect your OS system, there's nothing that you can do about it but re-format your drive and install a fresh copy of your OS. If you are also infected by a lot of malicious spywares then they are the once responsible for consuming your PC's RAM usage. You can actually check how much is your PC's RAM consumption by pressing CTRL+del. If the case is that there are too many unfamiliar task running with high RAM consumption even though that you have just opened or restarted your computer, then you are no doubt infected by a lot of spywares.

My best suggestion is to back-up your important files on a USB drive then re-format your hard-drive and install a fresh copy of your OS. Also, don't forget to update all of the important drivers for running the game.

If the problem still persist after doing my suggestion, then you might want to run a speed test of your internet connection. If your Internet's speed is good then your last option is to buy a brand new PC with higher specs than what you're currently using. I suggest a PC with an i5 or i7 processor as this will be the required specs for the incoming major update, RS3.
