I wish there was a way to know 100% what Jagex's macro detection system is.

Not for the safety of my characters, but to satisfy my innate curiosity.

 

This is more an exception to the random detection system just in case someone brought it up. Of course they are gone now but I included it just to note the point that Jagex that not all randoms appear based on time and experience.

 

What are the thoughts on the new Jagex botting policy...

An updated botting detection system, apparently it is MUCH better at catching botters.

Yes, they claim that their system is "super advanced" but I would argue that, at this point botting is all but encouraged.

Along time ago Macroing (botting) was an automatic ban. Now it's a loss of membership or a pay to get your account back. It's almost like a second method of income. The first being subscriptions. As a matter of fact you may some flashy new graphics or a brand new engine built on the money that we, the botters provide =p.

 

So many RWT...I'm training wc in draynor and there are about 30 bots in that one location in every world...

2 things about botting

1. imagine wat prices of raw materials would be without bots very good for the rs economy i think ppl overlook that unless ur a skiller then u might as well stop playing anyways

2. jagex makes millions off of bot subscriptions so i dont think theyre gonna be so quick to ban them all

my friend on the high level forums said on a thread about sorc garden bots that a mod said "they would take too long to ban all of them"
sounds like they wanna keep their money

Point 1: if there were no bots, it wouldnt be bad for the economy because it would mean that people could actually make money with chopping willows and fishing fish

Point 2: Most bots are f2p so they wont make much money of bot subscriptions. Jagex earns enough money, believe me

 

mod mmg confirmed on the rs forums that half the botters are members

 

more like half the members are botters lmao..

 

bots have such a big role in runescape I think, without them there wouldn't be many resources for people, the prices would go up, and no one would buy; there is just not enough players who play rs legit, because come on no one likes to wc all day...

 

lol... way more people would woodcut all day if bots didn't keep the prices so low you can't make any money off logs
