Runescape in 10 years?

I think it will probly be dead unless jagex make it into a game thats downloadable or on a disc and give it a complete overhaul

 

I'm guessing JaGeX will keep updating RuneScape, maybe eventually evolving into RS3, and will make a `split team to work on MechScape

Hmm.. well obviously a great amount of new graphic's, possibly new skills and most likely a new game engine. But to be quite honest with you i doubt that it will be around for another 10 years

Honestly i think it will be dead. Jagex are currently working on a new game called MechScape and i think that will take over. Runescape will be like the Runescape Classic at the minute, you'll go on it when your bored and for a laugh. <3

 

yea but look at WoW almost everyone is at level 80... it goes hell of a lot faster to get to 80 in WoW then 138 in runescape... and they do make new skills now and then... i dont think runescape will die in 10 years... you still got so many mini games and there is new quests quiet often, and pvp system... i think that it will be much alive in 10 years... maybe not jagex owned but it will still be alive...

Dead in 10 years? I think the Runescape loylay have proved that they are not leaving till they shut the servers off.

-Removal of wildi: Huge dent in RS players, yet the game still went strong.

-Trade Limit: Yet another dent in players, however, there aren't many less player than before.

This game is like a roller-coaster. It has its highs and lows, but there will always be a large community. I do doubt that the original player from the first 1-3 years will be around in 10 years time. Because een if they were 9 or 10 years old, they are going to be almost in their 20's and hopfully have other things to do.

This game isn't going anywhere because JageX, no matter how much we think they suck, are bloody brilliant when it comes to keeping people addicted.

I think MechScape is JaGeX's way of reviving the RWT'ing economy. MechScape will attract more people then RuneScape probably and they will take all the limits off RuneScape, maybe.

@ PnP mcgee, no one is free, and if it is someone is paying for it. 1 server alone costs about $165 to keep up 24/7 for exmaple a RS P SERVER. Think about it for a second

 

Those graphics look a bit more expensive than Runescape. Runescape may have its lower standards in some areas, but $5 is my kind of mmorpg. I would actually reconsider playing if I had come into the game after it was $6+.

This may be Jagex way of attracting players that want a higher quality game. This is going to be a Runescape alternative, not a replacement.

 

Well, since its proven that Jagex removes everything that we take interest to in the game, I can imagine it to be somthing like...

 

In ten years, Runescape will be closed... New developped technology will arrive. Maybe we won't even have time to play games..

 

I reckon they will have brought out RS3, scrapped RS for something else, or become bankrupt due to internet services being cancelled all around the world due to fears of global warming (anything is possible).

Mechscape, it will be wierd to do another game like Runescape, but different?

Hopefully, they will make it a good game.

 

I hear that they will mix up with World Of Warcraft and make runescape 3 (Dunno if it's true)

 

Lol, Runescape will be like

no fight in any type

no skilling

3d game, like wow or such, like guild wars

memberships will cost like 50$ a month or such lolz
