Runescape grey box on login screen?

Ok, when my runescape main menu is loading, there is a grey box, and it doesn't load. The little drop down menu shows up, asking if there is just a blank box, and if i click yes and go through all of that, it still screws up.

I have no clue if this is a virus, because besides the fact there is always a grey box, some programs I have (ie Limewire, Frostwire, RSBot) don't start. I click them to start, and the little hourglass appears to show it is loading, but the program never executes. Is this a virus? How can i solve these problems?

edit: thanks man, i tried to install the newest java, but it wouldnt let me, so i installed the offline version, and it works.
