RuneScape destroys people's lives?

I could never get addicted to RuneScape because the graphics are absolutely terrible and the animations are as well. RuneScape won't control your life unless you let it.

 

Me and my friends (I have 3 friends because i move so much, check out my thread on moving: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=254109)
came up with this. People play runescape right. Why do they play it because they are bored. RuneScape makes you forget that you are so bored so your not bored anymore. Its simple. It gives you something to do other than just sitting down and watching the same T.V show 100 times. I dont even play runescape really i have had a account since the game started and im only level 84.

 

it depends how you play runescape. For instance if you starts to be a full time pker then you have a high chance to get addicted because once you get on the comp you will always be thinking of killing pixels to get the taste and loots, anyway pking is oso so much fun. Where else if you are no li-fing training everyday without a goal then you will always feel boring and because you are gonna do that again and again and again everytime you get on the comp doing the exeat move. With this, you will surely not get addicted to rs because there are no fun in it. In conclusion there are many other situation to use and this is on of it. So this applies to how an individual play rs or just any other game.

 

bahah if any1 considers suicide because they got scammed i wud rly laugh at them so hard and encourage them the die.

 

lol i got scammed 4 times and the grand total of the amound is about 70m and... oh, all this scamming happens here, at sythe! but meh am still using my laptop now and dont event think to commit suicide just because of pixels..

You're right, and you're wrong;

It's not Runescape that destroy lifes, it's the people who get addicted and 'lose it',

However, it's Runescape the game that get's you addicted.

Not 100 percent sure what you're getting at, you confused me with you're grammar a few times, your sentences didnt make sense, but Runescape can be very addicting, and i dont really think it DESTROYS lives, but you can quit runescape, no matter how addicted you are.

 

Runescape doesn't do it. You do it.

Its just so god damn addicting that you would rather play then do some social things sometimes. Damn you runescape.

 

I will admit that i was addicted to runescape for a while. Some people take things too far. For example, i have had depression last year, but if i told that to some people, they would of think of me as a monotone talker, straight eyes, dark bags under my eyes, and/or with a frown most of the time. WRONG! I looked like a normal person, and i always enjoyed things, and i RARELY frowned.

My point with this is that some people have different reasons that they dont want to share to the rest of the people, that might cause them being addicted to rs. Telling them that they have no life just makes it worse; whats the point of saying "hahaha you have no life!", when it just makes it worse and your saying for your own entertainment.

My reason for being addicted was because my families struggling with money, we only have two tvs, and my gamecube broke last year, so i had nothing to do but a computer. I dont play runescape anymore because my membership ran out, and I couldn't pay for it anymore. But i do believe that it does make it kind of bad for your life.

 

I think it's the personality of the person
in my thoughts people who would go ar far as take thier own lifes are very weak people mentally, even though the past events that could have scared thier lives It would make more scence if they would have taken thier lives over that reason... You can't really pin all the blame on runescape, because it's the person in general.. if someone wraps thier life around a MMO it's probly because there not satisfiied with thier image in rl...

no idea why but i cant stop playing the game. i want to stop but im addicted its really i annoying. BTW, im not a physchopath that would commit suicide from getting scammed lol.

 

I personally think all MMORPG's destroy lives but people go to them to make new friends meet people and in a way start a new life and new reputaion for themselves. There is no problem in doing this and people who flame others because of this are the real ones with problems.

 

its because its like a never ending story... the whole MMORPG thing never ends so you are hooked on it until you stop

ive heard of deaths caused by WoW how a little asian kid said he wanted to be apart of the legends of WoW and killed himself?
