Runescape classic account

I have a runescape classic account but hasn't been logged in for around 6 years, it gives me the message "You need a members account to login to this world" whereas my other non RSC says "Unable to login. That is not an RS-Classic account"

So I'm wondering if I buy normal membership for the classic account, will it make me able to login or will it change the message accordingly to: "Unexpected server response"?

(Note: If you haven't already played Runescape Classic at least once in the last 6 months on your account, you will not be able to login. You will instead get the message "Unexpected server response". This is deliberate.)

Yes, if you haven't logged in 6 months don't bother buying membership.

Actually, I was banned for 2 years then got unbanned and still had Classic access.

I was told this by people on sythe too. I went ahead and bought membership anyway and it worked for me. my guess is that JageX missed some accounts during the 6 month period; or that if you played in the actual RSC instead of when RSC was open to everyone that the 6 month rule is void. I'm not saying that you have a 100% chance that your account is a "Classic" account. But, from my experiences there is a chance.

I've also seen images of people that has "you last logged in" over 6 months on classic aswell, after the RS2 release, but I don't really dare buy members as the account is level 10 or so in RS2.

 

No that thing does not work, just go ahead and buy member it will work. I logged into my rsc account the other day and when I logged in it said 1037 days last logged in or something.

 

You won't know until you try, so you might as well.

If you're a non-member it always says that.
If you're a member and don't have RSC access, only then does it say that the account is not RSC-Enabled.

My Suggestion: If your only reason to become a member is to see if you have RSC access, then don't. If you want to become a member, and you'd also like to check just out of curiosity (it is highly improbable that you'll still have RSC access), then it's up to you.
