Feature for Reported Members

Example : Lets say a guy named Joe is reported for scamming a runescape name and a thread is already up in Report a Scammer section but a Mod has not yet seen it. Joe is still browsing on sythe for a new victim to scam while the previous victim is still waiting for Mods to reply.



I was thinking that maybe when someone is reported it will show up as a Mini-Rank or the spot where it has Donor Rank. It should say " Currently Reported". So other users can be on caution and not get scammed by the person and it can be removed later if he's proven Guilty or not.


I read somewhere that Report a Scammer section is slow and some Scam Threads are up for more than 3 days without any attention. Yes i know that people can go check for themselves if the person they are trading was reported or not but some people are under age and maybe to fill that gap up we could have something like this?

That's a good way to troll people and for idiots out there to keep harassing the big market people with false reports. I can see where you're coming from but it wouldn't work. Do more harm than good.

This has been talked about before, there's way to many false reports.

 

I guess this feature would work if people learn to make honest reports with full evidence and not abuse it.

I do agree that there should be a way for other users to see if there's an open scam report on the user they are trading, not sure how it would work though.

 

Its going to be a lot of programming i believe ... I'm just saying guessing its going to be a lot of work.

It would of been great to have something like that though =) I was currently viewing the Report a Scammer section and some of the were waiting for a reply by a mod and a user scammed more then 2 people ( not yet confirmed )

 

Why don't you just click on the RaSc subforum to see?

And re: op, this would get abused so badly. Would take an hour before there were spambots set up to defame people. No chance, sorry. :/

 

An implementation of the kind you suggested would be heavily abused, and raises the question on what this automated system would qualify as valid reports.
If anybody has concerns about a scamreport taking too long, feel free to PM me (I certainly don't mind to be pmd to look at stuff).

I'm going to deny this suggestions on the reasons above.
