Include more information. What bot? What does a single bot take up in system resources? Are you willing to custom build it, etc.

I'd say your main consideration would be RAM to be honest. It really depends on how much system resources a single bot instance takes up. I'd get a semi-decent computer with about 8GB of RAM and see if that's sufficient. If it isn't, upgrade to 16GB.

a cheap i5, or preferably an FX 8350/8370, a pretty basic motherboard, stock cpu cooler, 8GB RAM, and an r9 280 or 280x would do you very well, for very cheap.

Don't bother with AMD unless you have a budget and can't buy intel processor.

    Wrong.

AMD is much better for multi-threaded applications. Intel has better single-core applications, but AMD has far better performance over all processor cores - helps a lot in 3D design, actually. Considering he's looking at running multiple bots, that makes AMD a superior choice.

    Here's a nice video:

This type of configuration behaves better on a server rather than desktop computer. Also why are you spending so much money on a computer just to run bots, wouldn't it be easier to use a VPS/dedicated server? I realize that the monthly bills would add up as you don't OWN the server; however, it might be more manageable to pay for something monthly rather than pay a lump sum and find out you might not want to continue with it.

If you are interested in using a VPS/Dedicated server for this, message me on skype, I will help you with whatever information may be related.

In my opinion I would say that a computer would be a better choice then a VPN in the long run because in the end you could sell it or use it whenever your main computer craps out on you.

But as stated before you need RAM,I prefer 16 GBs although if you allocate the entire amount of RAM toward Botting it may be over kill since on OSBot they say you can run 64 bots on 16 GBs of RAM, but regardless this would allow for future proofing in case you decided to add more in the future or actually use the computer while the bots are running in the background.

After that at least an i5 processor and a decent graphics card (wish I could give you an actual example but Graphics cards aren't my forte)

    ^^this.
AMD's consumer FX CPU's handle thread-optimization much better than intel's do. While, clock-for-clock, they are not as powerful as Intel CPU's overall in terms of raw individual threaded performance...in this particular situation they will perform just as well as an I7 will, and better than an I5 will.

If you're trying to gold farm, it would be easier if you bought a vps.
