Runescape account security questions

If I buy/sell an account with a login email that hasn't been created yet (or could be created later) on a real domain, is that a security issue? - The issue being that whoever made/makes the original login email could contact Jagex support, claiming to be the original owner and provide info gathered via 3rd party websites..

For any one who doesn't know what a domain is, here is what i mean:

[email protected] <-- real domain

[email protected] <-- fake domain

If I were to buy/sell an account, would I be safer if the account login email has a fake domain?

Could some one make this login email - "[email protected]" then contact Jagex support, claiming to be the original owner?

The original login email to the account I bought recently was made on a real domain. I checked the site and some one has created this email. All I have securing my account now is the email attached inside.
I'm not sure how I feel about the company basically still having my account in their hands if they felt like recovering it, assuming they're the ones who created the original login email. What do you guys think?

No, and if they did they would not succeed.

If you're buying an account, you need to understand the risk behind it. Regardless of any factors that you MAY think are there protecting your account (JAG, Authenticator, Fake emails, knowing 10 previous passwords) your account can always be recovered by the original owner at any time and with the help of Jagex, all of those security features set by you can be reset. With that being said - always make sure that you ONLY buy accounts from those deemed trustworthy and have alot of vouches. I'm not trying to discourage you from buying an account but my suggestion would be to spend the extra few dollars on getting one that you won't waste time on losing a few months down the road.

Your login email and whether it's a real or fake domain will not impact your account security unless you have something that's called a "username" login which were on accounts created pre-2009. There are many reasons why username logins are far MORE dangerous, however I won't get off topic here. If you have any other questions feel free to ask me.
