    I currently have a lvl 46 ranger, only RANGE, 66 range 55hp. I was wondering should I get prayer to 31 to protect item + I want to use d claws in the near future. good idea?

    You must be one damn noob.

    You obviously want to get 44 prayer AT LEAST for the Ranged prayer...

    Then 52 for Smite later..

    Yes, for the 15% ranged prayer, I believe. I haven't played RS in a while.

    only get prayer if you want to protect item/use range prayer. you really dont need it but some people argue that you do.
