How they scammed: They are advertising selling gold for www.runebet.com, which is owned by some of the biggest scammers in RuneScape [Win All Day, Smite Yo BGS, Dark, Taco Limey]

Edit: If you search "runebet bank video" on youtube, you will find a number of FAKE bank videos and giveaways. This was all done with the use of a program called cheat engine. What they did instead of changing the value of the coins/items, is the changed the whole item id itself using cheat engine. Example would be 10 elysian shield in your inventory. They would have for example 10 bronze kiteshield in their inventory, and use cheat engine and just change the item id of it so they appear as elysians in your inventory
