Ruling against posting irrelevant links
What do you mean?

If I've ever traded with someone, I would easily hand out every way of contacting me whether it be sythe pm, skype or discord.

Why should they restrict live chat links? Most companies I've dealt with prefer using their live chats. Of course if you're regular they offer skype for more convenience.

If you contact via livechat an they're not able to fulfill the trade and offer Skype as an alternative when they can I don't see an issue with that.

I don't see a reason to remove their site/company link just because their unable to fill an order at that time. Imagine how many time they would have to remove and readd their links.

Am I missing something? Or is this far too stupid for me to understand.

Specific site has been linked multiple times in a thread
Thread says don't contact live chat
Why is the site linked at all?

Yeah sorry about my post c0ngs explained it to me.

@Bus369 close down your site if you're not using it properly ...clearly you're just trying to make yourself look more trustworthy by having a site linked, which I am against. (I've seen people create sites just to look trustworthy)

Should definitely remove his link to the rsgold website if it specifically says do not use livechat for that contact method. And only have the Skype contact method.

Just report those threads, that's a definite waste of time, and is misleading.

The issue is that it goes further then that, he has multiple threads where he does that shit, except he doesn't link say don't contact livechat, but every time you contact livechat you'll just be straight redirected to skype, why not link the skype immediatly then? He's just doing it to get some clicks on his failing gold website.

This seems beyond misleading to me. And possibly come under these rules,in a different context such as only posting a site for the advertisement.
There is no benefit to sythe users if bus is linking his website that either 1) says do not contact livechat or 2) redirects to Skype. Which makes it misleading for sythe users. This shouldn't be a suggestion but really a report.

  • Advertising: Posting or private messaging links to other sites is allowed if there is a legitimate purpose in doing so that benefits Sythe users. Market threads may only link to websites if business is conducted on Sythe and alternative methods of contact (Skype, AIM, etc) are given. Accounts specifically created for advertising will be banned. To purchase advertising space email [email protected]
  • False or Misleading Advertising: Your sales/purchase threads must be accurate and updated promptly to reflect your actual prices/offers. If you advertise an offer significantly different to your actual prices then this is false advertising.
