[DENIED] Disallow links in #trade channel on Discord

Proposing that there shouldn't be links allowed in #trade channel on Discord.

Since all of the 4 previous trade channels are merged into one, it just spams the channel as a link takes up the whole screen.

OR

Somehow make it so the links don't create that pop-up box with more details and just stay links.

 

Maybe make a rule that all links have to be within the <URL> brackets? (prevents the preview from being shown)
a lot of people probably wouldn't bother to read about it/wouldn't know, though, and it'd probably be more of a pain than it's worth to enforce it

edit: you can disable Embed Links in the channel's permissions for @everyone to have the same effect

This needs to be addressed, or make it a requirement that when people post links they have a <example.link.whatever>

The < > before and after the URL prevent the preview from showing

 

Can we just get all the trade channels back? Not like they weren't active :/

 

And how would the people advertise their services/products?

"Questing services - PM ME"?

 

We've added the gold channel back, links are allowed in either channel
