For the short while that I have been here at sythe, its come to my attention and is begging to get on my nerves that some staff members have "Pet" users.

To continue my moaning and groaning;

Sythe has a fairly organized moderator and staff team, but it comes with it flaws . The problem straight up is, users that are guarded by other members with higher authority. These people are hiding behind the staff members breaking rules and time and time again evading the consequences because they have a "friend" in a staff position.

Not to mention any names but some Ex staff also seem to hide behind this window, They prance around like 4 year olds showing complete immaturity yet again they have nothing to fear because they too have a blanket of safety hovering above them.

A number of users would have been permanently banned or at least temp banned on numerous occasions but their friend bailed them out yet again.
Most of the time their suck up bastards that have nothing to do but feed of their power.

Authority should not be able to change, break or modify and laws, rules and regulations. Rules are put in place for all members and strictly followed.

Bringing to my attention another subject that comes under rather the same category. Yesterday I saw what was the most abusive and missuses of power ever, sadly this happens nearly every day. A new member would join sythe and his first post would happen to be "lol that funny!" In the case of a user who has been here for "Longer" he would only receive an infraction yet.... The new user would be Banned, because he was profiled as a spammer.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of dilemmas of power abuse and rule modifying dodging.

Everyday The Crown Price Harry has to follow the same laws as everyone else, he doesn't get exceptions because he is the Queens son. For Gods sake apply the rules fairly.

To maintain the structure of the community on Sythe, all users must be treated equally but also fairly.

Thread 1 of 2 ( soon to come)

he flew a fucking military chopper over civilian air space to pick up people for a party.... wonderful law abiding there i see.

I know exactly what you're talking about.

Don't be bashful! Mention names, give examples!

He gotten authority from the military, And Only touched down for 22 seconds. According to the report.

And Yes, In my extension of this rant I will go on to mention names and some examples.

I don't mean to be offensive, but you seem to favour 'someone' alot, and I would count you as one of the highest authorities (excluding admins, mods, and the like) around.

I don't quite know who you are talking about.

A little someone called Jokerz?
I'm not sure if this falls into this category, but anyway.
Once again: This is not supposed to be offensive.

This is a lot like what Jansen is saying.

Finn for an example Pen saying he needs $20, and you backing him up. This is relatively harmless and Pen shouldn't be banned or demoded but it should just be said that this is not allowed like it would if a normal user would have done it.

But other mods are just really mean to people. And people on sythe look up to the mods more than you may think. If a mod says in a post something like "Your idea is stupid why don't you kill yourself" then normal users will post the same types of comments. On the other hand if a mod posted like "Thats a clever idea but probably won't happen on sythe right now" then other users would post similar comments and the thread creator would feel better and would feel more welcomed on the forums.

Now why do you care how people feel I'm sure your asking.

Well sythe is this right now
"It's a mass of clueless morons mixed in with self-proclaimed intellectuals who spend all day debating things that don't matter." -Fouisgras

but hopefully sythe can become a nicer forum where people aren't so hostile. And stop arguing are opinions and start having a conversation.

But the people who are the meanest usually get banned from sythe. Like atomic, faskist. But there are plenty of mean people on sythe that users support only because they don't want to be treated badly.

so he had the rules bent for him? isn't that wonderful.

Macro and I know each other IRL 0.0

I try not to be his kissass We're good mates :)

Perhaps give a few small examples too Clank of how i am his Uncle Tom.

On-topic, I havn't seen many of this but 'Favouring' of old members over new potential members aint exactly fair.

Every member (other than scammers) should be treated fairly and equally.

Your saying that the rules shouldn't be bent, well why do you keep arguing against my idea.

not once have I argued your ideas, I have argued the facts you used to promote your ideas.

Rules should be bendable, but not only for those with high status.

Atarmic was banned for *kind of* scamming (supposedly phishing as a joke), Faskist for CP. How does this make them mean?

And quite frankly, some people deserve more respect and leniency than others.

True but idk it still seems to work out like that. Theres a lot of good people on sythe and I respect them but the ones that are negative for no good reason I have no respect for.

Ok seriously, first of all, if a bunch of teens will listen to that, then i dont know what grade we should be in. I have not had that said to me since i was in the 3rd grade as far as i can remember. If you go onto a site, you need to respect the rules. Thats it. Mods have a little more le-way. But thats normal.

very fucking true.

er, its a fucking forum. Anywhere you go on the internet, there will always be hatred and possible "net" violence. Just like everyday life. Get over the fact that real humans use the net

Lol, faskist. If you voice your opinion, then you really cannot get in trouble as long as it does not break the rules. If you break the rules, expect to be punished.

I am friends with most of the mods on this site, or have atleast talked to them once, and i still receive infractions for break the rules. So i do not see what you guys are talking about

And macroman, would the military have even considered giving anyone except him the use of a helicopter ??? NO they gave him special preferences for being a monarch.

I have many friends on here that are members and admittedly i do overlook some small violations by them... But in general i will ban fairly reguardless...

Also Vinny, why should a member who has joined three days ago be given the same amount of respect and be treated the same as someone like Vic who has been an admin since forever and retired ??? The RULES are bent slightly for these members but can you honestly say that they don't deserve it... Now the little suckups who crawl up mods/admins arses and give them pleasuer on the other hands shouldn't be given any respect at all... Besides 75% of the suckups are scammers looking for quick reputation.

This is a hierarchy of sorts, and of course certain members will get more 'lenience' towards a rule. Rule-breaking [for the most part] is at a volunteer moderator's discretion. I can agree myself I've probably gotten away with posts that I would've gotten infractions for otherwise.

Now, about kindness; As Finn would probably put it, "Nobody is required to be kind, sunshine." Sometimes when you're respected and trusted enough, you just get a certain type of leniency, whether intentional or unintentional. I give it to other people without even really noticing it myself, and I'm sure a lot of other people are too. Would you rat your best friend out if he did [crime] here? I hope not. In the end, it's the decision of Sythe. When he's not on, his moderators are his eyes and ears. I trust their decisions for the most part, and I would expect the same if put in their position.

I know what you mean... There was a post about someone that was gaining a rank which was all well and a new person, a leecher posts, "Contratz, (name, (I forget who)) GL on being a mod I'm sure you will do a good job =]" And a mod quotes him and just says "Who the **** are you?"

Its not fair, I dont like this power abuse, and NO OFFENCE intended, I think Eric is a great guy but it can tick me off when he posts a topic named "All of you GTFO Pen's donator lounge." followed by the message within the post of "I is fouisgrass." And on top of that has a poll with two options of "Wow blows is gay" and "I am gay"

It made me laugh but its annoying at the same time.
