    Purchased an account from ChicksGold in september for 450$ and it was recovered by the OO a couple months later and they are unable to recover the account or do anything to help me. When purchasing the account they do not allow you to take the email (which i didnt) or else it nulls all insurance which indicates they are in full ownership of the acc incase anything happens etc. It appears they just buy accounts for super cheap without securing them in the slightest. YES, I did agree to no lifetime insurance because im not paying 200$ on top of the 400+ i already paid when the TOS says theres a 2 yr warranty.

    TLDR: sold me an acc 2 months ago for 450$ that got recovered and refuse to give any refund/compensation despite TOS having a 2 year warranty in case the OO recovers



    TOS stating there is a 2 year warranty if an account is recovered by the original owner: Either this is extremely predatory wording as in they are the OO which should never have a case of the acc getting recovered or they mean the actual OO of an acc recovering it. imgur.com

    They also try to offer a "lifetime insurance" when you purchase an account which costs about 50% of the accounts price which is really fucking ridiculous and nobody would ever obviously buy that so they clearly just get off for free by selling accs that will clearly get recovered.

    If this is somehow in their favor still the TOS is extremely predatory and bad business practice.

    They claim they have the recovery info but never actually recovered the account themselves when they bought it so how are they supposed to know if its even the right information, just terrible business practices and it comes back to bite the customers in the ass

    Hey GoombaHunter,

    The account in question was purchased on 09/17/2022 with our standard 30 day insurance we offer for resale accounts. The 2 year insurance at the time applied only for in-house accounts which was explained before the account purchase. No additional insurance was purchased. We also explained that we were not the original owners of the account as well as a complete rundown of the process sellers have to go through to sell us an account. Sellers are required to sign a legal contract with us as well as provide a selfie and a government issued ID. We also run a variety of fraud checks and won't purchase accounts that have any red flags.

    The initial issue with the account was a lock, not an account recovery. Locks can take place from a number of ways such as IP changes & moving wealth between accounts. Password resets were not being sent to our email so we reached out to the original owner for assistance who has unsucessfully appealed the account 3 times now. We are still in contact with the original owner who is still submitting appeals in hopes of returning the account to us. We also have the recovery information on file for the account which you chose not to accept on your end. This is still on ongoing case and we're doing everything we on our end to return the account.

    At the time of writing the original owner has submitted a 4th appeal 12 hours ago and we're waiting on a response to see if this one is successful. We haven't made any final decision yet as this is still an ongoing investigation on our part.

    The 2 year warranty was not explained AT ALL prior to purchasing the account and how do you even define in house accounts? i bought it from your website, its in house?. You talk about this long process of securing the accounts and holding sellers liable however those have proven to be completely useless and if there even is a legal process why is the buyer not compensated at all LMAO. The account was locked and then i noticed the PW didnt work anymore and it didnt say it was locked meaning it was successfully recovered by the OO. You did not confirm the recovery details the OO provided you when you added this to your inventory making it unsafe to purchase, had I known you didnt test the recovery details at all I would not have bought because i had faith you guys would be able to recover the account in case of something like this. You also didnt even check to see if the person that sold you it was the OO obviously if they alledgedly cant recover it after 4 attempts. You sold me a faulty account and your terms of service are very sketchy and misleading on top of your god awful "insurance" prices that nearly double the accounts price. The account also wasnt even logged in to for quite a while before i realized it had a lock so there shouldnt have been any issue with it being locked unless somebody else tried something with it. And assuming the account is somehow miraculously (which obviously wont happen) secured it is clearly unsafe to own. I would simply just like a refund at this point. TLDR: you run all these legitimacy checks on the account but wheres the proof it was locked/recovered and you have no chance of getting it back thats a huge LIE on your part and terrible business practice.

    Also i choose not to accept the recovery info because it clearly doesnt work and if i accept this incorrect info I will then be held liable for its recovery instead of you.

    @Astro keep us updated here on the progress of this.

    @GoombaHunter it appears accounts on the website indicate if they are 'Resale' versus 'In-House' directly above the options to obtain more details on the account or Add the account to your cart. Unfortunately, it appears you chose a Resale option which does not come with the two year 'In-House' insurance, as it states on their website.

    It does appear @Chicks team is still trying to assist despite being beyond the insurance period, therefore I will leave this open awaiting @Astro's response

    Does this excuse not checking the recovery information before selling the account? Also whats the point of telling customers before they buy an account that they will take legal action on the seller if they recover if they probably don't. And if they did why would the customer still not get refunded.

    Yeah somebody recovers an account, it's probably likely to happen but to be told they have the recover info etc when they don't is very misleading. Also very predatory when the insurance costs hundreds of dollars for an "account thats the same value (why would i want another), gold or a refund). Meaning even if i did pay the absurd insurance price i would still likely be told i just have to choose another unsafe account from them

    Nevertheless, again, it appears @Chicks team is still reviewing & trying to assist beyond the insurance period. I will await a response from @Astro

    The insurance part was explained thoroughly and extra insurance outside of the 30 days of free insurance was never purchased. Nevertheless, we're still trying to help out of goodwill. We currently are still trying to unlock the account and will keep our customer informed privately, however as this report is outside of our TOS (no insurance purchased), we'd like to request the report to be closed, thank you.

    @GoombaHunter Please work with @Astro directly on their assistance outside of the ToS/insurance. It appears you were informed of the process/warranty/etc. shown in the screenshots above.

    At this time it is outside of the insurance period that you agreed to & therefore I will be closing this.
