1 year since eoc, opinions?

So its been a year since eoc has launched into runescape, what thoughts do you guys have on this
Personally i think its a cancer which needs alot of treatment to remove it

Now I think about it, I really really really miss pre eoc.....

 

Eoc sucks. Runescape screwed it there & failed to lure hype back with 07.

 

the combat triangle is better. Its just a shame combat in general is a lot worse.

 

They're too ignorant to revert to the old system and accept the fact that it was a complete fail.

 

EoC was the update that made me quit the game as a whole. I look at the state of the game now and am glad that I did.

So sad to see it dead, but well, that is JAGEX's fault for basically murdering the game, by ruining it with NONSENSE updates, NOBODY but extreme-jagex-fanboy ass lickers love! (as you can see on the forum, they go on EVERY anti-eoc and troll & flame as hard as possible, while the OP is trying to explain his opinions...)

I GAVE eoc a chance, but the first day of it, I instantly found it sooo boring, I couldn't play. all the rune, black, addy armor I had can't even be used because they changed stuff that didn't need to be changed.

And as you can see, the Jagex-fanboys try to claim that elimination of bots is the reason why the game died, no. In 2010 until EOC came, I had sooo many people online at most times, now they are all dead. Nobody ever comes online anymore, 1 and 1 but not 5-10 on each list as it used to be.

proof of how RS is dead. and people loved the 2008-2011 RS much more, because they DID stick to it for 3-5 years! The jagex-lovers say we can't accept change? Wrong. It didn't need to be changed... it was fine the way it was, as there were much much many people that played PRE-EOC. And now 90% of worlds have under 200 people. 2011 = 50-60% over 200 people circa.

 

I've quit, as i expected.

 

It seems like it's been there forever. I don't play it so I can't give a reputable answer, but from watching videos and livestreams it's okay I guess. Wouldn't see myself getting engaged in it again though.

 

I find myself used to it and spoiled by some of the features. Though at first I was like "WTF is this????"

I continued to play after EOC and I was never a botter beforehand, finally started to bot and that's about the only time I use my account...haven't played since RID went down.

 

Yeah, a year later, I've pretty much found myself completely used to the EOC and it's just RuneScape to me now.

 

After the release of eoc I continued hosting until that was taken away and 07 was released. I played 07 till university and now have no real urge to play either. I miss the good old days of hosting and also playing pre eoc but I doubt I'll go back to runescape.

 

I never hosted, but I enjoyed skilling in Grand Exchange while watching hosts and gamblers. It was entertaining and I met a ton of cool people. Now GE is a ghost town. Not even that full in W2 even.

The newer updates have made the game better, as it's more interactive than just click and play, you actually have to do stuff to get the upper advantage.
