RSBuddy coming back "fully functional" doesn't sound promising at all tbh.

I have a feeling that it will be fully functional sometime in the future. But right now, I am happy that they are still determined to get this fixed. Jagex's determination to take down bots is less than RSBuddy's determination to keep it up IMO.

I figure that if RSbuddy comes back with full functionality Jagex will just devise another plan to stop bots for a few weeks. If Jagex is dedicated they will eventually come out on top.

After a while I think Jagex will just give up. There will always be bots. There is really nothing they can do to completely end botting I think.

    Nope they wont.
As long as they combat bots, the hope of those legit fucks stays alive.

If this is a hoax they just killed off all of their customer base. It's not a hoax.

If it's not up when the timer hits zero, I'm calling BS... there has been too many delays. I would much rather Jacmob give us an ETA of like 2 weeks than to keep giving us false hope.

Its the same process though, Jagex promotes a huge nuke for bots. Gotta give it to them. The held it down for what I am thinking will be 3 weeks tops. Then the bots will rise up.

Honestly Runescape is much much better off without bot's. All the prices are so low...

Iron Ore: 85gp used to be 220-250
Nature rune: 100gp used to be 300
Lobsters: 85gp used to be 250-300 stable

I could go on and on. If bot's were to return then this game would be no where near playable. Stop killing this game for your own benefit. I hope Rsbuddy/Powerbot/iBot will all be down for many months to come.

I doubt they could do much more without breaking their game. ;)
Obviously not intentional... The last thing we want to do is have our members upset. The fact that you guys are this impatient is pathetic though.
Lol, Jagex is well out of moves.
The only way that would happen is if we were DDoS'd. Which is almost impossible for RSBuddy.
It's also stated without any surprises, clearly Jacmob found something else that he wants to take care of. If you'd rather not use RSBuddy feel free to go to neXus or RSBot. Only 2 months there. ;)
    I wish you would elaborate...
They can only do so much. Bots have been around for years. The only reason they did something this time is because they lost the golden joystick because of the bots and RuneFest was coming up. Obviously wanted to make it seem like they had things under control. Jagex isn't dumb, they wouldn't wipe out half of their income because less than half of their players were complaining. Botters pay more money, therefore Jagex cares more about us.
Agreed. They don't care as much as they'd like you to believe.
Agreed, bots have always been in the game, always will.
True, but it will just be an act. Barely any actual action will go on.
You're welcome to just leave. It really doesn't bother us. We prefer members who have had faith in us from the whole Powerbot shit to stay than random people who just complain all the time...
Exactly... The loss totally outweigh the gain for lying...
    Correct. Top right hand corner.
We gave 1 ETA, and it was broken because of the circumstances we listed on the thread. Obviously something happened that requires a bit more work from Jacmob's end... If you think you're smart enough to spy a "hoax" then you go update the bot. I wish you luck getting their source code...
They have no patience, that's the problem.

Exactly. They'd be doing the same thing regardless of whether or not it's going to be fixed.

Says the guy with a VPS sig that is probably oversized too.

Immensely naive. Assuming Jagex sees RS in their long term plan its enormously advantageous to get rid of bots.

    - Botters who bot for personal gain will quit sooner. When everythings done for you the game will get stale much faster.
    - People quit because of botters. Overcrowding and general inequities which stem from botting as opposed to playing legit is an enormous turnoff.
    - Goldfarmers who pay more multi-memberships will start dying off as the legit population dies off. If they have no market to produce gold etc for they'll leave too.

These factors = a game which will become unpopulated in the near future due to bots. Yes bots have been around forever, however the sheer quantity pre-nuke was unprecedented and it was a huge turnoff for current legit players and newcomers alike.

However if RS is now merely a short term product, then absolutely they should just hit and run the botters and goldfarmers for as much as theyre worth in the next couple years.

Quote of the day right here. Everyone I know that botted ended up quitting because they either got lazy, got bored, or got banned.

Honestly I play the game because I like it. Everyone says "i just want to have a social life and get on to pk herpyderpydo" but then they bot all their combat stats and find something different to bot instead of actually playing. I don't get it.

Your logic is absolutely faulty. Do us all a favor and never open a business, k?

What profit does RSBuddy stand to gain by lying to its customer base? None. In fact, right now RSBuddy has everything to lose. It still has a loyal following that have optimism in the developers to deliver an outstanding product in a timely fashion. They've announced that the product will arrive to everyone at the end of the week. Should it not arrive, their loyal following will go elsewhere.

You don't make money by lying to your customers. Unless you're a bank or other money institution, or the government.
